Swivel Seats! 1976 Chevy Laguna S-3

Wow – this 1976 Chevrolet Laguna S-3 looked like one to buy until I saw the hard hit it took to the rear. The seller has now relegated it to parts car status, but I hope someone tries to bring it back to life. It comes with a host of desirable options, including what appear to be mint condition swivel seats, a recently rebuilt 350 / 4 BBL, and F41 suspension. Find it here on eBay with a $2,000 Buy-It-Now.

I’ve made no secret of my love for swivel seats. These buckets look quite nice, and white on red is one of my favorite color combinations. The interior really has held up well, although the tops of the driver’s door panel looks well worn. The seller notes that the complete center console is a desirable feature, along with an untorn back seat.

As you can see, the Laguna took a serious hit to the right-rear end and quarter panel. The Laguna has been sitting for the four years following the accident, and I can imagine the shock of having a rebuilt 350 to play with effectively negated by an inattentive driver could cull your enthusiasm. The seller notes that while there are some good body panels to pillage, including the nose, the rear quarters are a lost cause.

Now, despite some engine work being done, the bay itself looks quite tired. I suspect it appeared this way before the motor was refreshed, which, by the way, was “spray-bombed” with red paint. So while there are lots of desirable parts still on this Laguna, it may not ever have been a fully restored beauty. While the seller has effectively broken the Laguna down by all of its desirable parts in the listing, is there any hope it can return to the road as a better version of its former self?

I will need to research how to list as a “readers ride”. I’ve got a red ’75 (CA smog exempt) Laguna and the wife says it has to go (currently no decals just red)

I have two 73s I like the nose better on them but this can be saved it would make a great NASCAR tribute car it is already a victim of the Bristol bump and run last lap tactic

Unfortunatly the seller is correct. It’s a parts car. The frame is rotted. It looks like it was left setting under some trees for the last 4 years.
