Two Owner 1968 Chevrolet Camaro

1968 Chevrolet Camaro

Up for sale is a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro that has been sitting for quite a long time. Currently, the price has reached $4,351 by 14 bidders with no indicated reserve. It is located in Fayetteville, Georgia. There is no VIN listed but the title is clean. It is hard to determine if the miles are accurate, but the listing states 100,000. It seems like a place holder to me. You can view more on eBay.

This Camaro has only one partial photo of the engine, obstructing any good view to be able to understand what you are buying. The seller says that the car has sat for over 35 years, which if the slashed tires are any reason for that, it makes sense. Even after all that time, the engine is said to have been started in just about 10 minutes. It came factory with a 327 but currently, it has a 350 which is attached to a 3-speed manual transmission.

A very good photo is provided of the interior and there are supplemental interior photos as well. It is dirty and in need of a lot of cleaning. There might be some need for replacement parts for any missing items or broken items. One thing is for sure, it is full of parts. Tires, air cleaner covers, and a host of other oddities are all throughout the car. The seller says the trunk panels will need some work in terms of rust. The quarter panels will need a lot of work as well because rust has eaten away at them.

Overall, the car is in rough shape and looks to be a quick flip. While the tires are trash, the photos were taken on a flatbed, so it looks like the seller knows they have something worthwhile and they must have gotten this car at a remarkable deal for the price to be where it is with no reserve. This Camaro is not the worst Camaro to come across this site, and many worse offerings have sold for much more. If you are interested in this car, you should bid fast. At this point, it is almost cheaper than the parts it can provide.

Perhaps one of the owners was Jacques Cousteau?

I’d stay away from this one just because of no photos or comments about the underside of it. This was driven hard and put away wet… but how wet?

yea bobhess, trunk full of tires, floor mats still there, and for petes sake no pics of the underside , which would be easily accomplished since its on a rollback. Anyhoo, expect the worst and you wont be disappointed, looker over good.
Good luck to the new owner.

I’m sure this Camaro isn’t the worst example we’ve see here on Barnfinds, but it’s a strong contender for the top five. Not one I’d consider, too rough and with a NOM. Pay more and start with a better example; life’s too short.

That’s not a 327. It’s a target 350. Says so right on the valve cover. Wonder which pond it was sitting in.

I think that 40% of Georgia is swampland so it’s not to far of a stretch to figure where this came from!!

I bet the second owner was a junkyard ,where its been sitting for 35 years- those tires arent slashed, they are so old and dryrotted they’ve split.
