15 Ton Giant LS3-Powered Car-Smashing Robot!

Disclosure: This site may receive compensation from some link clicks and purchases.

“Say, honey, would it be OK if I bought a 15-ton Corvette V8-powered, battle robot… you know, for the family?” If you plan to utter that question, be sure your significant other has not just taken a sip of coffee or it may become atomized as they spray it across the room. Joking aside, though, life is short, and opportunities to buy something like this Eagle Prime MegaBot in Oakland, California don’t come along every day. Bidding here on eBay started at one US dollar and has risen above $100,000 thanks to over 150 bids. Considering the robot cost $2.5 million USD to build, it may go for a relative bargain.

Piloting Eagle Prime takes two operators, making it an exciting team project for parents, siblings, or multi-generational fun! If you think you can make money with this thing, you’re right! The seller outlines some basic numbers for a typical event including upkeep and shipping costs.

The sale includes attachments including two claws, a giant drill, giant knives, and a giant double barreled pneumatic cannon. Did I mention this thing is giant?

Be sure to check out this YouTube video to see Eagle Prime in action, and this one showing Jay Leno’s time in the cockpit. Let’s hope the new owner has the resources to keep this awesome machine active so it can be enjoyed by as many people as possible. How many times have we heard about someone spending their entire budget on an awesome car then it turns up on BarnFinds.com 20 years later because they didn’t have the time or finances to keep it on the road?  How would you use this giant robot? If the new owner finds this article, we’d love to hear your plans in the comments below!

No reason for this to exist. The original Robosaurus preceded this by many years.

Whoever takes this to The Black Rock for Burning Man will be a celebrity for 2 reasons (1) they love freaky things there (2) the operators will make bucks galore towing stuck/broken/etc. “Art Cars” out of the alkaloid muck when it’s time to leave especially after a good rain/snow storm!!

They literally say, the most asked question you’ll get is “Are you taking this to Burning Man?” And NO is the answer because this robot won’t move forward on dirt/sand……only on hard surfaces……

The eBay listing says that that’s one of their most common questions… apparently it doesn’t turn in sand well. Shame.

Up over $152,000.00! Who would have guessed… It is a wonder there aren’t two of them battling for supremacy like on Battle Bots. Hydraulic nightmare, I hope there is good access.

I thought this looked familiar. I saw the episode of Jay Leno’s show where it was featured.
