I don’t know what it is about seeing an old car peeking out of a barn with farm equipment surrounding it, but something about that image sends a chill down my spine everytime I see it! I’m not huge into pre war cars, although I definitely have an appreciation for them, but seeing this ’36 Plymouth coupe in this Ohio barn on a still operating farm puts a smile on my face. It isn’t even in good shape, but looking at it, you know it has lived a life full of fascinating stories on the farm! To make the story even more interesting, the owner traded it in for a new car, so it has just been pulled from the barn and has been listed here on eBay by the car dealer that made the trade. It is currently in Salem, Ohio and is being offered with a BIN of $6,500 or best offer. Given the rust and overall condition, I see this car being turned into a hot rod, but hopefully someone will take pity on it and restore it! So what would you do with this barn fresh Plymouth?

Ouch! Hard to believe that car was under cover for very long in it’s life! Makes me wonder what happened to the missing parts? Yes, I’m afraid for $6500 you’d have to be ambitious to even to a street rod project with it…how sad…
NO WAY it has 88k miles on it! dealer probably gave the buyer $1000 bucks for it as best…
Most definitely a restoration project. It’s way too complete to do anything else. Keep hot rodding them and there won’t be any originals left.
…for the money , I don’t think so…………Nowhere near as nice as the similar 38 Plymouth Coupe I found in Idaho last year for 3000….. WITH a NICE GRILL too….
old street rod..
GREAT Old School louvers
I think it looks great as it is – for some reason I want to put it in my house to look at!
A good find. It ll be a very nice ride…just dont pimp it up too much.
