We often wonder why cars are abandoned and this once the owner tells us why. He bought it when he was 16 and he drove it through two years of college. He painted it red to match the red seats he found for it and banged it up some. By 1986 gas was expensive and he was moving to California, so he left it in the barn. He saved it for his son, but his son has no interest in it (sounds familiar, just like my son!). So now he’s listed it here on craigslist and asking $4,200. So, it has a red paint job over the light blue original done by a 16 year old with no experience. It needs a good deal of bodywork including replacing at least one rusty quarter. It’s been sitting for 30 years. If this was running and driving Pony car, it might be worth $5,000, do you think? Is there a price that would make it worth making this car driveable?
