1967 Pontiac GTO for $1,800

1967 Pontiac GTO

One of readers just sent in this GTO and showed concern as to why it was cheap. I’m guessing that there is no engine and it’s got some rot, but you never know. If someone hasn’t purchased it already, you may want to take your chances by contacting the owner here on craigslist. It’s located in LaGrange, Georgia and has only been listed for a couple of days. The seller claims that it’s a solid project and from what I can see in the photos, it doesn’t look too bad. Especially for that kind of money. Heck, maybe you will get lucky and discover that it’s a 4-barrel Ram Air car too! It’s fun to dream… Thanks for sharing JW!

I love the body style, I just wish sellers would learn how to take more pictures and give more details. How hard is it to say “no engine or trans”?

OK I called the owner last night and he’s a nice guy but he doesn’t know how to sell a car on the internet, he posted the car then went out of town because he said it might be sold already but he hadn’t checked his emails. Now here is his description as he gave it to me.

No Motor or Trans …. Came from factory as a 4-speed car … No Documentation

Interior all there but bucket seats

Rust …. Needs lower quarters on both sides / trunk floor and both front floorboards

No title just a bill of sale.

I would pass, IMO it’s barely a $500 parts car.

it says “solid car” but needs quarters/trunk and both front floors, does not sound solid to me and no motor or trans, agree $500 parts car at best. :|

I wish I had the skill to restore a car in this condition and admire those who do. If this car is as solid as the seller claims, the price seems very reasonable.

Plenty of parts availability. Could be saved by an ambitious do it yourselfer. would never be a high dollar car. But could be a respectable driver. I wouldnt mind this sitting in my garage. Would have to get it a lil cheaper myself. But even with it’s rust issues its better than a lot of them around here.
