To capitalize off of Mark Donahue’s Trans-Am successes, AMC decided to offer a special edition Javelin. A duck tail spoiler was stuck on the back and a ram air hood was mounted out front. When sprayed in Big Bad Orange, like this one, it was a seriously mean looking machine! Apparently, some of these were built at the factory, but most were thrown together by the dealerships. You can read more about why they did that here. It wasn’t uncommon for Javelin owners to build their own either, so it may be hard to verify that this is a real deal Donahue Edition car. After repairing the rust and giving it a respray though you will have a very unique muscle car that any AMC enthusiast would be proud to own. This one is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is currently at auction here on eBay with the reserve met and only a day left!
