The Jensen-Healey never really took off as it should have. With a Lotus 907 twin-cam engine that later found it’s way into the Esprit, classic British roadster good looks and a top that went down, it should have done better than it did. Unfortunately, there were teething issues that weren’t solved for during its production, although they have all been resolved now. This one seems a little inexpensive given it’s condition — thanks to reader Chevy55 for sending us this great find! It’s located in Ormand Beach, Florida, and is for sale here on craigslist for $2,000. With the new wheels, twin sidedraft Weber carburetors, and a nice wooden LeCarra wheel, you have around $2,000 in parts, let alone the rest of the car. There’s a video of the car here as well. Let us know if you go for this under-appreciated British sports car!

I almost smell a CL scam. Looks good, said to run well, no rust visible in pics or video all for what amounts to impulse purchase money. Wish it was local. If it’s as good as it appears, I’d take a bus over and drive it home!
Seller says “rust is the biggest issue.” On a Jensen-Healey, that can be major, indeed!
This is probably a bargain, rust, leaks and all. Hopefully a buyer maintains it as it is now and doesn’t drop a small block V8 in it.
Looks better than the ’74 JH I bought in ’09 for $3500…
Listed on Hemmings for $5000. Hmmm something odd.

Same phone number….
I go to church just down the street from this guy. I’m gonna run by tomorrow and take a look. I’m wondering about some of the modifications though. I’ll let you know (I may just buy it).
John, keep us informed–it seems inexpensive to me, though.
This car has an upgraded alloy radiator too. For that money I wish I lived nearby.
Yea, me too.
I can’t imagine that the rust mentioned is anywhere near the problem it is in this part of the country.
Alan, this car lives about three blocks off the Atlantic Ocean. Salt mist is everywhere. stainless steel rusts here. I drove by but couldn’t see anything. I’ll go back when I’m done at the church.
This car was supposedly “SOLD” according to Hemmings; it is actually a more desirable1974, not a ’73; the curved headlight surrounds, the non-cheap plastic center console, and the chromed, not black, bezel around the rear tail light assemblies. Hope whoever got it knows they got good deal
