Here’s another big box-checker for you pickup fans, and I mean big. A Wimbledon White over Raven Black “Regular Tu-Tone” paint combination is somewhat rare to see, but I like it. The seller has this great-looking 1975 Ford F-250 Custom Crew Cab 4×4 listed here on eBay in one of the great cities of America: St. Louis, Missouri. and the current bid price is $15,300, but, of course, the reserve isn’t met.
The sixth-generation F-Series pickups, known by some as “dentside” due to the indented body line on the side of the cab and along the sides of the Styleside bed, were made from 1972 for the 1973 model year until the end of 1979. Speaking of the Styleside bed, the F-250 Crew Cab only came with a 6.5-foot short bed in this era. The seller says this beautiful truck was painted and got a Styleside box in 2023. I’m not sure if that means it had a Flareside box or what the story is.
Whatever this truck’s story is, it seems to have resolved itself into a show-stopper. If you can reach the bed to put anything into it, it looks great inside. If I’m reading the charts shown on page 10 of this 1975 Ford F-Series brochure correctly, a Flareside box/bed wasn’t available on either a Crew Cab or SuperCab truck.
This rig has a four-speed manual, as you can see in the photo above. The seller mentions there is a “refreshed” black vinyl interior, and it looks pretty nice inside. This is a Custom, so it’s the lowest trim level, but hey, it’s a truck. The cool part is the Crew Cab seating area behind the front seat; that’s what makes this one a show-stopper for me.
The engine is Ford’s 360-cu.in. OHV V8 with around 145 horsepower when new. Headers and dual exhaust will add a few horsepower for sure, and it rolls through that four-speed manual and a two-speed divorced transfer case to all four wheels as needed. It’s got an aftermarket cam, a 600-cfm four-barrel carb, and an electric choke. You know me, I’d dial the wheel and tire package back a few notches, but otherwise wouldn’t touch a thing on this beauty. Would you change anything about this F-250 Crew Cab 4×4?
Popular configuration for logging companies 🪵 out here on the West Coast 🍁 for decades and decades. Crew cab, 4wd and stick shift.
You might dial it back, but I think the stance is perfect.
Oh yeah, I agree about the stance, it’s perfect. I just like the look of tall, skinny tires shown in old ads and brochures.

Sweet, now that’s a truck.
The only thing I’d change would be adding my name as owner on the title.
almost my favorite looking vehicle (yes, over my beloved 50s / 60s Italians). A lill big for that (back east trails too).
Short bed stepside 4WD F250 w/2 18 inch race strips would do it.
W/o the extra drive shafts (‘divorced’ x-fer) and able to sit in it a ‘more relaxed’ position (these make me feel I’m at the dinning table – all right angles, elbows, knees, etc) I might have one (the ’69 bronk could get a nice tow).
Auction update: this one fell off the tracks, unfortunately. I just looked a couple of hours ago, and the bid was over $35,000 so I knew something was up. Now the entire listing has been removed. It’s hard to sell anything with so many scammers out there, what a drag for the seller of this fantastic truck.
