The C4-generation Corvette ZR-1 has always occupied a strange but interesting corner of Corvette history. It was faster, more advanced, and a lot more expensive than a standard Corvette when new, and even today the LT5-powered cars still carry a different reputation among enthusiasts. This eBay listing offers not one but two 1991 Corvette ZR-1 project cars as a package deal for $12,500, and both sound like they’ll need plenty of attention before returning to the road.

The first car in the listing is a white 1991 ZR-1 that the seller describes as a Florida flood vehicle carrying a rebuildable salvage title. The seller says the mileage is unknown, noting that Florida listed the last recorded mileage at around 20,000 back in 1996. According to the ad, no attempt has been made to start the car yet, and the seller recommends at minimum changing all fluids before doing so.

The description goes into a little detail about the condition of that white car. The seller states that the body is straight and undamaged, though the paint is said to be peeling heavily on the front bumper area. The dashboard and LCD display reportedly do not light up, but the seller also notes there are no visible dirt or silt lines behind the gauge cluster lens and says the interior appears like it may clean up reasonably well. At the same time, they openly admit they have no idea how high the water may have gotten. Interestingly, the seller suggests the car could make a candidate for an LS swap drift build, even though it’s a real ZR-1.

The second car is a black 1991 ZR-1 with a clean title. Mileage is again unknown, and the seller says the cluster does not light up on this car either. According to the listing, it had reportedly run fine when parked and was started regularly until a couple years ago. Things apparently changed after a tree branch damaged the windshield and targa top, leaving the interior exposed to weather and rodents. The seller states this car will require a full restoration.

There are a few additional notes on the black car. The seller mentions damage to the lower portion of one door and says the car has an aftermarket exhaust installed. It also reportedly received work at Vette Dr’s in New Jersey at some point, though the seller does not know exactly what was done. Original wheels are included, but because the tires no longer hold air, another set was installed simply to keep the car movable.

For enthusiasts, the interesting part here is the fact that both cars are genuine ZR-1s with LT5 powerplants. These cars were never common, and today many buyers still see them as an important chapter in Corvette performance history.
