Are you ready to get dirty in order to find what you need? Of course you are if you are a BF reader. Listed here on craigslist in Hudson Valley, New York there’s an owner selling a 40 year collection. You will have to make contact to find out what’s there and what the prices are.
The ad states there are frames.
There is a sedan, engines, and wheels.
In the title of the ad it is stated: “barn find model A parts”. In the body of the ad is: “what are you looking for? call i probably have it”. There is no mention of any sidecars but as the owner stated, I probably have it. You may want to give Larry a call and see if he has the barn find you are looking for. Sidecar anyone? This could be a fun visit if you are in the neighborhood.
Motor-on,
Robert
I see a lot of odds & ends & curiosities but little Model A stuff. If he really has a large stash, someone with patience is going to make out like a bandit.
The vintage side car is cool might be an Indian or Harley side car anyone out there know. Side car bikes are crazy fun to ride you have to pay close attention, no day dreaming if you do they will scare the $hit out of you every time. My first sidecar rig was a brand new Ural patrol picked it up in Edmonton AB and rode home to Calgary about a 3 hour ride. The bike was not set up right and would change lanes if you throttled off to quickly. Most terrifying 3 hours of my life. My current one is a restored 1977 Goldwing with a hand made custom side car that I built myself handles 10 time better than the Ural and is way more fun to ride, it also allows me to take my 11 year old multiple amputee son with me. If any of you guys out there are into bikes I strongly recommend you try riding a side car rig you’ll get quite the thrill. Cheers
