As an added bonus, this convertible is equipped with a rare six-speed manual. Now, the manual gearbox was already a rarity across the C4 lineup, but to combine it with a drop-top 40th Anniversary car likely puts it among a very small group of examples equipped the same way. The only real flaw I see here despite the low mileage is a power antenna that isn’t retracting all the way; otherwise, the paintwork appears to be in excellent condition, which is really the one “must-have” when seeking out a 40th Anniversary model – a spotless ruby red finish.

The corresponding leather interior included matching carpets and door panels, but I was always bummed they didn’t extend the color matching to the center console. The standard C4 bucket seats remained largely unchanged across the production run and are generally hard-wearing; however, we’ve seen plenty of these with dry and cracked leather, so it’s obvious this example didn’t spend too much time parked outside with the top down. Little details – like the original Bose stereo system and gear pattern sticker on top of the shift knob – are all in excellent condition, leaving little doubt as to the low-mileage claims.

The seller mentions in the listing that they’ve recently had the Corvette serviced and inspected, with all fluids changed. It also comes with all service records from new, along with the window sticker. The seller doesn’t mention if – despite the low mileage – the tires have already been replaced and the belts serviced. While it may have under 30,000 miles from new, that doesn’t prevent consumables like the rubber bits from developing stress cracks over the years. However, I would bet if you’ve been looking for a 40th car in convertible form with a six-speed, this is one of the best options out there right now.
