The seller does a commendable job describing his Eldorado, but he also includes an informative YouTube video, which seems to back up his claim that this one’s like a time capsule from 1969. The Sapphire Blue paint is still the original finish, and although there are a few minor blemishes outside, there’s also plenty of luster remaining as well. I’d probably spend years just preserving this one like it is, and enjoy thousands of miles behind the wheel before even considering making any improvements to the exterior.
For 1968, the previous year’s 429 V8 was replaced with a new 472, which carried over to the ’69 model. Weighing in at over 4,500 pounds, the Eldorado is no light ride, but 375 horsepower under the hood keeps things moving around more than ably. The owner says this is his own and personal car and that he’s driven it extensively, with operation reported to be like-new. It’s also stated to have been meticulously maintained since new, and with only 49,000 miles of driving, there are probably decades of good service remaining for this one.
Inside, the condition seems to reflect a combination of care plus low mileage, with the blue leather showing no rips, cracks, or tears. A broken cruise-control stalk and a non-functional clock seem to be the only interior issues, and it’s nice to have that flat floorboard for additional comfort too, as Cadillac utilized a front-wheel-drive system back in the late sixties. I’m not finding the asking price unreasonable at all, but the seller also states other offers will be considered, in case $26,500 seems a bit much for your liking. How much would you be willing to spend on this 1969 Cadillac Eldorado survivor?

I Agee with the comments about the absence of the vinyl top. My dad’s 66 fleetwood was sans the vinyl top, and I thought the car looked so much better without it.

Ordinarily, I’d be a big fan of an Eldorado without a vinyl roof, but a white top would really pop with this color.

Odd place to put backup light(s) – and why run electric wires where there could be gas fumes?! Should have put them in the bumper where they put reflectors(?) instead.
Never seen one this clor blue from the factory and not having the vinyl roof makes it look fantastic!
I’m a Cadillac guy and I have to say unfortunately this car as nice as it is has not reached this kinda asking price. You can find a nice sixty’s or early seventy’s Cadillac for maybe half the asking price. Lovely Cadillac though.
