Up for sale is a 1964 Corvette Convertible which is in a stunning shade of Ermine White with a classic red vinyl interior. It is said to be an all-original example that is ready to be enjoyed and it can be yours for a buy-it-now price of $47,500. This classic cruiser is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The seller has a VIN listed, along with a clean title and 77,000 miles on the odometer. It is mentioned that the miles are believed to be original. You can view it here on eBay.

It is claimed to be a true, numbers matching 327 cubic-inch V8 connected to a 4-speed manual transmission. You can see in the photos that the engine bay is just as clean as the exterior and interior. They do provide undercarriage photos as well. The only rust that is visible is underneath and it is only surface rust. While the numbers match, the hubcaps do not. It currently rolls around sporting 1966 hubcaps but the seller says they are including ’64 ones. Everything is said to run and drive well.

One thing is for sure if it truly is all original, this interior is incredible. You can see there is some minor fading on the floor mats and interior trim pieces around the center console, but it is nothing that requires alarm or replacement. For its age, condition, and price, you are looking at a very worthwhile vehicle to add to your collection. While Corvettes can have audiences split on how rare they might be or how much they should be, you can’t deny the fact that this car is a nice automobile.

Both tops will be included with the sale and the white soft top is said to be in good shape. The seller seems to be hoping that the pictures will sell the car because they say you can email them and they will provide you with a link to a Dropbox account with more photos. Apparently, what they lack in the description, which is a lot, they make up for in photos. For all of you Corvette enthusiasts, what are your thoughts on this Vette?

I just noticed that this Corvette has the same double “horseshoe” indentations as the ’63-’65 Riviera. The Vette has them aft of the front wheel, pointing back, and the Riv has them aft of the door, pointing forward.

The hood coves too, running toward the windshield on the Riviera and towards the front on the 63-64 Corvette.

A beautiful two top, 4 speed survivor. Well worth the price.

Given the fraudulent nature of the used Corvette market, a lot more forthcoming information would assist in the sale. Certainly a nice looking car but there’s not much to go on as a perspective buyer needs.

    Vette guys please chime in.

As with any car purchase due diligence is necessary. This appears to be the real deal.

Not too many cars look as good as that Riviera Rex. Really nice!

Thanks Bob. You can thank Bill Mitchell for the ’63-’65 Riviera. The car in the photo isn’t my Riv, but same color and same wheel covers.

Can any Vette guys comment on Mitchell’s role in the development of the Corvette?

Agree with some guys here. Need more documentation. No tank stickers until 1966 I believe. Correct me if wrong. Certainly a far better car than a dolled up 67 427 that is likely a fake or has a 74 454 made to look like a 427. I see it all the time. Have been involved with and worked on Corvettes since 1976. While 64 not a particularly valuable year, who cares. Buy and drive. Probably needs all the suspension bushings and rear wheel bearings gone through. I love this car.
