Many enthusiasts dig rare colors, or at least ones that don’t get picked often. When we think of the Eddie Bauer edition trucks offered by Ford, we often picture the iconic combination of green and tan, or black and tan – maybe even white and, yes, tan (Pawnee Tan, to be factually accurate). But rarely do we see the combination of Pawnee Tan with Light Santa Fe Metallic, which this 1995 Ford Bronco appears to be. According to the seller, it was found on an older gentleman’s property sitting on a trickle charger before he rescued it. Find the Bronco here on eBay with an opening bid of $19,000 and a Buy-It-Now of $25,000.

It’s described as having a nicely patina’d exterior, which can sometimes be a code word for “needs paint.” However, it looks decent overall, and perhaps it could a simple clearcoat job away from shining like new once again. The seller is based in New Mexico and my guess is the truck hasn’t left the area since new. It just has that desert vibe about it, where a truck doesn’t appear abused but just that’s become one with the landscape. Regardless, I hope the window being down in the back means the power tailgate glass still works, and from a presentation standpoint, a fifth factory alloy wheel mounted on the spare (or simply an OEM tire cover) would go a long way.

While there’s an inclination to believe every Eddie Bauer trim truck should have leather, this wasn’t always the case. However, you did get the Eddie Bauer badges on the dash, woodgrain trim, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows and locks, and a center console. The badges are present but it looks like the wood trim has perished. You can also see in other exterior photos that the paint has failed on the hood, so it clearly bears the scars of prolonged sun exposure; it makes me wonder if the previous owner left it outside. Regardless, it shouldn’t be too hard to find a replacement wood trim kit, which would make the interior look a bit fresher.

The running boards and deep-dish alloy wheels were also considered standard equipment on the Eddie Bauer trucks, and a set of upsized all-terrain tires would give this Bronco some extra curb appeal. The seller, to his credit, has focused on making it a reliable driver, and recent maintenance includes a new ignition switch, radiator, water pump, fuel pump and filter, and a general tune up. With some tidying up of the interior, a hood respray, and some new tires, this Bronco Eddie Bauer edition would look terrific, especially with its rarely seen Light Santa Fe Metallic paint job.

Eddie Bauer is the most overrated package ever offered on any vehicle.
What a beautiful $8000 Bronco. 151,000 miles, bad paint, dents, needs tires, and a rough interior. What more could you want?
