If you are a veteran Barn Finds follower, you may recognize this car. This exact project was featured here on Barn Finds in April of 2013. It appears the car is in the same shape (or a little worse) than it was five years ago. Currently offered here on eBay with an asking price of $22,000 the car is located in Springfield, Missouri. Hopefully the next five years will be kinder to this car than the past five have been.
The engine is a 255 cubic inch Flathead V8 and is topped by dual Stromberg 97 carburetors. It is said to run and appears to have a new battery installed. I’m curious to know how often the car has been started over the past five years. There is no indication in the ad about the history of the car other than some general “dry storage” comments.
There are a couple interior photos in the ad. This car appears to be restorable and could even possibly be a driver as-is. I wonder if the same owner is offering this car for sale five years later or if it sold and the new owner didn’t do anything with it?
When this car was featured here in 2013, the wood appeared in better shape. Since then, the doors have deteriorated and appear that they need to be completely redone. Whatever the reason for the five year stall on this project was, now is your chance to turn its fate around. Will you be the one to rescue it this time? If you know the story on this car, let us know. I’m sure some of our readers are just as curious as I am.

Michael, I’m so glad you said 2018, because I thought that 5 years have slipped by and it only seems like a few months.
Like a bad penny, or old episodes of the Mod Squad, this Barn Find just keeps coming back onto our screens! How about they find the bumper and put in on for a little different photo spread?
How about they lower the price as well. In my humble opinion the car is way over priced.
This car as is presented is $17,000.00 0ver priced. And that is being generous.
but a rare one fer sure Jimmie………
A 2 door woodie wagon Merc!
COOL, COOL, COOL!
Like other comments previously, over reaching the begining price just to have room to spend making it a driver. It sits again as an abandoned project.
I’m not a wagon guy but this is a true woody and deserves saving, BUT not for the outrageous $ the seller wants.
