The story is one of the car’s strongest selling points. According to the seller, their great-grandfather purchased the Plymouth from a retired school teacher in Schuylkill, Pennsylvania. It was later parked at the seller’s grandmother’s house, where it reportedly sat untouched for more than 20 years. Around 15 years ago, the car was moved to the family farm, where it has remained stored indoors, covered in dust.
Power comes from a 318 V8 paired with an automatic transmission. The odometer shows 34,032 miles, and the seller states that the car was started while parked and moved to its current location approximately 15 years ago. It is not currently being represented as a running driver, so bidders should expect to recommission the fuel system, brakes, cooling system, ignition system, tires, and other consumables before road use.
The seller describes the car as unmolested and states that it has no rust. One flaw is disclosed: the car suffered paint damage on one side after the house it was stored at developed a leak, leaving a visible mark in the finish. The seller says the damage did not destroy the paint or body panel, but it is noticeable in the photos.
The photos show a green two-door hardtop with a black interior, original-style wheel covers, intact trim, a complete cabin, and an engine bay that appears largely untouched.
