You don’t need to go any further than our own Barn Finds Classifieds to find some really cool vehicles for sale, and this 1952 Ford F-1 hot rod sure is one of them! The seller is in Portland, Oregon and the asking price is $50,000 — reflecting the huge amount of work that’s gone into this custom vehicle. You can find out all of the details here in the ad.
Some of you will have already started your comments about how that isn’t a 1952 truck, it’s actually 1948, and you are correct about the front clip — the builder preferred the early fenders and hood. But that’s not even scratching the surface of all the custom features of this truck. Look at how well this chopped roof was executed! The seller assures that there’s enough headroom leftover as well!
Naturally, being a hot rod, one of the focus areas of the build was the engine. The owner has included many details in the classified ad, but a few highlights include that it’s a 327 cubic inch V-8 with dual 4160 Holley carbs. This is a very impressive street-legal build! Be sure and check out the ad for all the details and if you have a vehicle for sale, consider listing it here at Barn Finds!
Wow! The details look great! But could there be a couple of not-so-close-up shots to give a sense of the overall? It’s certain that the sum of the parts is way more than the individual items.
What you can see of it on the ad, the workmanship is excellent on this truck.
Hideous.
Just. Stupid.
Old hot rod done right! Where’s all the Chevy in a Ford haters?
Right here…Guess you can’t find used Ford mtrs.in salvage yards because they last a long time.
We’re here, but we’re still shaking our collective heads wondering why anyone would drive a Ford if it wasn’t a 49 Merc chopped, sectioned, and slammed instead?
Bob
Right here, alive and well, seeing another bastardized classic Ford. But in this case, I guess it doesn’t really matter, since the truck was mutilated anyway.
If I soaked $50k plus into a vehicle I’d want to get my money back too.
Bob
$50K can buy a supremely sweet street rod. This isn’t that–by a long shot.
50k can buy a lot.
Nope, pass.
It looks good. Except for the chopped roof.
