BF EXCLUSIVE: 1967 Buick LeSabre

This handsome 1967 Buick LeSabre came in by way of Barn Finds reader John, who notes it belonged to his grandmother and was parked starting in 1994. It’s purported to be an honest survivor-grade car that ran well when it was parked. The interior is in very nice condition, and there appear to be no major alterations from stock. The property where it’s stored has been sold and John needs it gone by the end of the month, so read on if you think you can give this LeSabre a new home and lease on life.

John notes that the mileage is believed to be quite low. While there is evidence of some body-related damage, like the crinkle on the rear driver’s fender, there’s nothing else too ominous. According to John: This was my Grandma’s Buick. It has a 340, 2-barrel with 33k original miles. It has been sitting in her garage since and not run since1994 and ran perfect when parked. The car has always been garaged.

As you can see from this and the gallery photos, the LeSabre’s gold interior remains in excellent condition. Considering John’s grandmother ran a bakery, we’re surprised not to see more flour and fondant around the cabin. Says John: My grandma only drove this car around town and used to run and own the Roslyn Bakery (founded 1909). It is all original with a few little dents on the driver side rear panel and one tiny rust spot that I could find. The stock gold interior is in mint condition.

John’s asking $5,000 for this stately sedan, which not only provides an un-messed with foundation with which to work, but you’ll also be keeping part of his grandmother’s legacy alive. The interior photos alone point to a car that was loved and certainly didn’t haul many passengers. You’ll also be helping John move forward with a property sale if you choose to buy: Has the original rims, hubcaps and floor mats. I need to have this car off the property by 4/30/18 as the property will be sold. Contact John via the form below for more information.

Would seem to be fairly priced. Not surprised it sold.

I had a 67 LeSabre Coupe back in my college days, 1983/84. Mine had the 340 v8. It also had a windshield, and rear window that leaked like sieves! AM radio didn’t work, nor did heater/defrost. The floors became skating rinks after a winter rain/freeze. Well worth the admission price of $200. Ahhh … I so loved that car!!

Friends dad had the higher trimmed out Electra 225. It was a huge 4 door boat that reeked of comfort.

Great story! Nice old Buick. Seems priced right, from here. Love the “Bag” hanging under the dash- memories of my childhood, trying to hang those things somewhere outta the way. lol

what is with all these “ran when last parked” ads? what, too busy to buy a battery, replace the points, condenser and plugs, a gallon of carb gunk remover to add to fresh gas and see if it would run again? I think the term “ran when last parked” really means that that the “motor froze up and then it was parked”.

The car is still available. Last buyer fell through. I have been too busy clearing out the property to try and get her running. I would love to keep it and get her back into shape before selling but don’t have a garage to move her too. I will take an offer as I am getting closer to property closure date. I am the seller.
    Thanks
