70k Mile 1995 Ford F-150 4×4 Blue Ridge Edition

This clean 1995 Ford F150 pickup caught my eye because of its special edition packaging: it’s called a Blue Ridge edition, which as far as I can tell was a cosmetic upgrade kit offered by one dealer somewhere in the vicinity of the Blur Ridge Mountains or Blue Ridge, Georgia, where I spend a fair amount of time. Whatever its origins, at the end of the day it’s a super clean short-bed F150 that has well under 100,000 miles. Find it here on eBay with bids to $9,200 and no reserve.

The Blue Ridge kit appeared to get you some special decals, some additional chrome details, running boards, and polished wheels. At the end of the day, none of the actual mechanical equipment changed, aside from perhaps being the ideal mixture of features more buyers wanted. The Ford is equipped with the 5.8L V8 and an automatic transmission. While having eight cylinders is nice, I feel like most F150 fans would have been just as happy with the indestructible inline-six.

This F150 has just over 70,000 miles, which means it’s barely broken in. The interior features standard grey cloth, so it’s not like the Blue Ridge package got you leather and heated seats. The interior does come with power windows and locks, however. The cabin is largely blemish-free, but it does reinforce that many dealers simply tack on the words “special edition” without doing much in the way of making said vehicle special. Still, it’s a proven way to move inventory.

The seller reports the truck runs and drives without issue, but doesn’t report on any recent maintenance. The F150 is equipped with air conditioning, cruise control, a front-folding three passenger bench seat with power features, an original AM/FM radio, along with a few other basic upgrades. Strip away the “Blue Ridge” moniker and just concentrate on the fact that this is a very nice example of a mid-90s F150.

I’ve always thought the 9th gen F150s were one of the best looking pickups Ford ever made. This ’95 is as desirable as it gets for an OBS Ford pickup; it’s well-optioned with a great motor, it’s a 4×4, it has the preferred short bed and the condition is outstanding. My ’95 isn’t a 4×4 but the 302 that powers it is backed by a 5-speed. I like this truck but I have no use for a 4×4. I’m sure the bidding has a long way to go on this one; this pickup seems to have everything you could possibly want in a classic Ford truck.

Had a gorgeous 92 f150 xlt larait?(fancy one) regular cab long bed 4×2 loaded mint, loved the truck only sold it because as i got older it really sucked to work 12 hrs and drive home 60 miles in a reclining seat that had no room to recline, idc how nice the truck is, ext cab ever since, plus i love the back seats in my dodges….

Nice truck Ford Guy. I agree that this generation is a favorite as well. I love the semi-squared off look. Most of them here in the Northeast are rust buckets now if you can find one.

I agree with fordguy. This series is one of the best looking they have ever made. My first 3 trucks were 4X2 single cab long bed but the 4X4 is really nice to have when you need to drive your truck in snowy weather. For me I wouldn’t mind having the extra room behind the cab but I need a long bed for work and adding passenger room makes the truck longer and harder to park in crowded parking lots. This truck is perfect in that it’s too nice to drive on salted roads and has all the creature comforts but without all the gimmick features of a new truck.

I sold a bunch of these in 95 working for a large Ford dealer.
They were so popular, it always an easy sale. The truck sold itself

I miss my ’96.It had a shifter for the transfer case.
I notice that this one doesn’t.Must have come both ways.
These are great driving trucks,& the best years,as
    they aren’t overly high-tech,but high-tech enough.
I drove mine from Northern California to SW Virginia,
& would do it again if I could.
