One of our favorite games is Name that Car, so when we saw this poorly photographed barn find we knew it would be a good challenger. Reader Jim S. tipped us off to it, so special thanks go out to him! We will run a follow-up post with the answer. Good luck everyone and let the guessing begin!

    I’m leaning towards a Fiberfab Jamaican too. The right fender looks torn through the headlight bucket area, more than rusted away.

    Great responses guys. I wanted to say what it was, but so many have already answered, so I just engaged my sleuthing skills and found the actual car pictured;

    $8100
    In storage for almost 40 years
    Front end damage.
    Seems like kinda crazy money, but the seller does state:
    “Clearly a collector’s item that will be worth more than $100k once restored.”
    Of course it will.

    Yes, the front does look like a 240 Z, and the quarters like a Corvette. I have owned and restored a 67 Omega, for over 20 years. It is an unappreciated car by most and there are a few good reasons why. But, the car was hand crafted out of steel, over one of the strongest frames you will ever see. It is small and light. The down side is the amalgam of parts used to build the front end but that can be easily rectified today, and the “Kit” concern.

    But it is a well built, strong great design car. Parts are hard to come by. We had to make bumpers for my car.

    A way to tell this from a Z car is that on the Z car the hood opening goes all the way to the front of the body, while on this Italia there’s a hood opening that’s surrounded by metal all the way around.
