We hope that you all have a Merry Christmas, or whatever holiday you celebrate at this time of year. In the spirit of the good ol’ days, here are a few old Christmas car ads and images.
What better way to decorate your Continental kit spare tire than with a wreath! I wish I would have though of that.
An ominous Santa in a snow-less area sitting on a Chevrolet dealership’s roof, now there’s something you don’t see every day. I wonder what Santa brought with him on that truck?
Sorry, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen; Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen, not to mention, Rudolph – this is Santa’s new ride, courtesy of Hertz!
There probably aren’t too many people who would put a tree on the paint of their new vehicle these days, are you someone that would?
Someone’s been a very good boy this year! These old ads really combine two of my favorite things, cars and the holidays. Hopefully you all have a happy, healthy holiday season!
Merry Christmas Scotty, and to the rest of the gang! Santa hasn’t got here yet, but I will hang for a while. I knew Hertz had a deal with the Mustangs, didn’t know about the Sting Rays.
Scott, thanks for all the GREAT barn find pictures all year long. I hope you and everyone on this website has a GREAT Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS from the Smoky Mountians.Bruce.Sevierville T.N.
Bruce,
I’m so happy that you have a place to have a fire, after the devastation in your area such a short time ago. Merry Christmas!
P.S. I bet it took a lot of work to make that Santa for that Chevy dealer ship.Bruce.

Merry Christmas Guys! Thanks for all the daily goodies!
Thanks for all the great postings every day. Please keep them coming. Merry Christmas to all of you.
Well, this thread seemed a little “light” on the thumbs down, so I thought I ‘d help balance it out. But in a more accurate way, I want to wish all here a safe holiday season, as well. This time of year means little to me ( and don’t even try or the “other” gift giving holiday I have nothing to with either) HOWEVER, in this modern world of losing touch with humanity and interaction ( aka thumbs ) this time of year is always special. Can’t deny that. It scares the heck out of me that someone would want to ruin what we hold dear. To whoever is heck bent on trying to downthumb every post,(and I’m pretty sure I know who) I’m out of the “mileage guessing” business,( seemed to fester shortly after that, unless they just want to pick on a guy named Howard, THAT would be nothing new) I apologize if you lost a sale because of it. Buyer beware, I guess is the best advice.
2017 already, you know, it’s true, life is like a roll of toilet paper,,,the closer to the end, the faster it goes. I’d like to thank Jessie and Josh for a great site, kind of like a club, to my friends and fellow truckers that are still out there, even working today, so we can have fresh strawberries in December, ( or whatever), all our LEO’s that have an unbelievable job, and last, but certainly most important, our military, keeping us safe. God bless all.
Howard….it’s the internet….vox populi….ignore ’em…..Santa rules btw :)
Maybe we need to do like craigslist and do a how many thumbs up can we get for Howard.
Hey that guy other day got like 105 thumbe down. You got a long way to go. Maybe your default setting is a thumb down? lol. Hope that we all have a great 2017 on here. No matter which way the thumbs go.
Merry Christmas to all the Barn Finds staff and members and even the occasional trolls from that other site.
The original “A Visit from Saint Nicholas” which later became “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” by Clement C. Moore used “Donder” not “Donner” as the one reindeer’s name and yet Donner is more commonly used in print and songs.
Merry Christmas.
Photo of Grandpa getting a tree in his 1954 Willys Wagon, Humboldt County, California, December 1967.
I wonder where in Humboldt County this was taken, I lived there 34 years.
Richard, it was taken about 10 miles off Highway 36 between Bridgeville and Dinsmore.
Grandpa is on the left; my dad’s cousin is on the right. Not sure why Grandpa thought it was okay to stand on the hood and fender. When we were kids, that was never okay.
When it was ok to stand on a fender!!!!
