Cool Van, Man: 1975 Chevrolet G10 Custom

Retro 1970’s vans are coming back into style, and fortunately there are many nice original examples still out there! This 1975 G10 was stored from the 1980s until 2011 when the seller purchased it. According to the seller, this is a factory extended G10. Complete with the necessary Pink Floyd mural, this beauty is ready to rock! With some minor rust repair and some other cosmetic repairs, this G10 could show quite nicely. The seller is the second owner of this van and it only has 70,000 miles on it. Find it here on eBay in Ohio with a reasonable asking price of $3,650.

It has shag, it has velour, and it even has fur! The interior of this G10 is dripping with class and who knows what else. The blue and orange really clash for that nice 1970s funky feel. You’ll notice the white of the bench/lounge matches the pleated white vinyl roof as well as the fur covered refrigerator. The wooden table adds just the right amount of wood to accent the are. If you want a nice quiet spot to relax and read a good book, or perhaps to do some homework, this G10 could be your spot. The porthole windows allow in just the right amount of light while simultaneously providing privacy. The beauty of vans like this is that you have a mobile living room for various activities everywhere you go! Be it enjoying a thoughtful discussion with your colleagues or pondering the meaning of life alone, the custom van provides a comfortable space.

Although the rear of this van is fantastic, the front is equally so. The whole interior was done in 1975 by Van Masters of Columbus, Ohio. Keeping with the theme of blue, the front seats have been redone with floral inserts as have the door panels. You’ll notice that the blue shag carpet extends all the way up to the dash! Under the doghouse is a 327 Chevrolet V8 built in 2014 for which the seller has all the receipts. This is a running and driving vehicle that the seller is “not afraid to take anywhere.” The engine has a mild camshaft, GM Vortec heads, and a 600CFM Holley carburetor.

Vans were a thing of the past, however many of them stuck around long enough to be brought back to life today. With the custom work already done, this G10 just needs a little bit of love to be a head turner! While funky vans aren’t for everyone, the younger generations of today love them almost as much as the original creators do. Would you fix everything cosmetic? Or leave it as it is?

I wonder if Consumer Reports has tested cleaners for such an incident.

I raise your Pink Floyd van and go all in with a Pink Floyd building. There is a total of 4 prisms on this building…in-laid colored brick veneer.

“There is no dark side of the moon really……
Matter of fact, it’s all dark.”…..never waste the money on a bong, put it into the van. Somebody else will have a bong :)

What people forget about these vans, while the passenger cars were being choke to death by govt. & insurance reg. these were virtually untouched, which made for pretty good performance for the 70’s.

It’s beautiful and I wish I could talk my wife into letting me buy it!

There’s one around here in Indianapolis, that not only has the Pink Floyd mural, but is covered in… wait for it… black AstroTurf! God only knows what the body is like under that stuff, but it jacks the cool factor way up there. Wish I had a picture to attach.
