This is more of a cupboard find than a barn find, but even car guys need to come out of the garage once in a while to spend some quality time with the family. And what better way to do it than by playing an automotive themed board game? Apparently people have been doing just that since at least the 1920’s. That’s when the seller believes this game was made! Find it here on eBay.
Checkout the great artwork on this playing board! This appears to be a simple “roll the dice and move” kind of game similar to Candy Land, but way cooler. Instead of licorice forests and gumdrop mountains, there’s dangerous curves and downhill double speeding. Sounds like my kind of game!
Here’s a shot of the game pieces and dice. With six race cars in multiple colors, there shouldn’t be any reason to fight over who plays with what. I call the red one! The seller mentions that “three of the drivers appear to have driven under something and have been decapitated”. Ouch!
This would surely be a good addition to anyone’s game closet, right? The kids could practice their counting and daddy could pretend he’s buzzing around country roads in a vintage race car…
Someone had better buy this before I blow $75!
That is sweet! Great find Jesse. They have some other cool stuff for sale also. The old Motor Maids photo is killer. I got this old toy from my Dad after he checked out. You are supposed to back the car in the garage. I can never get it to go in there but my ex girlfriend could do it in a flash. But put her in a real car and stand back! Maybe Howard rembers the tire company. Thanks for the post, Mike.
No buttons or video screen? Good luck teaching a 21st century kid to pay attention long enough to get the box open. If the graphics don’t bore them to death first. I love it.
Cool find! Too bad I’m too late, it sold 5 minutes ago!!
Someone beat you to it.

Yup…sold…must have been from the BF listing bringing more attention to it.
Good thing too because I was seriously considering it!
Too bad it was gone so quickly, but there are a couple other similar games on Ebay right now.
I will consider myself fortunate that my 11 year old daughter loves to play vintage board games and card games. This would have been an excellent add to our collection.
Got given this game, this week, as a birthday present from my son.
