Holy smoke! What we have before us here is a custom creation known as The Bat Boat Mobile, a Batman boat car, and while it’s a different concept from the original Batmobile, the attention-getting potential here might be similar. This one-of-a-kind sits on a 2003 Toyota Corolla chassis with that drivetrain still providing power, so this one’s probably dependable, just perhaps not fast enough to catch most villains running from The Caped Crusader. The Bat Boat Mobile is in Newburgh, Indiana, and can be found here on Facebook Marketplace, where the seller has posted an asking price of $29,500. We’d like to thank Sam61, who was kind enough to send us the tip on this one!
Regarding workmanship, everything seems to be of decent quality outside, and I’m not noticing many blunders on the boat-shaped body. The paint and decals also seem to have been applied well, so if you’re a fan of The Dark Knight or comic-themed vehicles, this one’s probably worth considering. The seller mentions that the lighting is of marine grade, but just be aware that this is not an amphibious auto, so don’t try driving it into a body of water.
On the pavement, I’m not sure how the real Batman and Robin would feel about 4-cylinder power, and unfortunately, we don’t get to see any photos of the engine. I’m guessing that’s a makeshift hood with the Batman emblem on top, and maybe those dual mini windshields pop off easily, should oil changes or other maintenance require that the hood be raised. When the occasion arises to remove this one from safekeeping, the seller says it runs and drives great, as long as you’re OK with early 2000 Corolla performance levels.
I’m not spotting anything resembling doors here, so this one must require entry Dukes Of Hazzard style. However, once inside, there’s some pretty good detailing to be found. The seats look comfortable, with room for 4 to 5 occupants, and the Bat Phone is a fun touch. The most disappointing area here is probably the dash, or lack of one, as this area appears to be nothing but a panel with simulated instruments and gadgets. If you like customs, this one may be right up your alley; just don’t be surprised when The Joker gets away. What are your thoughts on The Bat Boat Mobile, and its price of $29.5k?
But it’s not even Black!I recall all of the Bat Vehicles
being that color.
$29,500,& you can’t use it in the water? What do you
do with it?Seems that you’d tire of driving this around
after a short time.
Blue correct for bat boat
Not even a tiny bit.
0-60 knots elapsed time? Top speed?
How many skiers can it pull???
Hold my beer but it‘s in the Batcave
Holy crap Batman the listing is gone.
Wow, that was funny.
