By the time 1967 rolled around, the Ford F-Series pickup was beginning its fifth generation, already having been in production for nearly two decades since the first one rolled off the assembly line for the 1948 model year. Now in its fourteenth generation, the truck is still going strong, but there’s just something about the simplicity of the earlier models that have always drawn me in. This 1967 Ford F-100 is claimed to be the seller’s daily driver, and he’s trying to find it a new home, so if you’ve been in the market for a good old work truck this one may be worth a look. It’s located in Montgomery, Alabama, and can be seen here on eBay, where bidding has reached $5,800 thus far.
The seller doesn’t give us a whole lot of the history about his truck but does say he’s in the construction business and uses it for hauling every day, and mentions that the bed is rusty and will need to be replaced. But the body itself seems to be in overall good shape, and that two-tone paint looks fairly decent for a driver and has a cool patina. A couple of upgrades that have been added include a factory power steering setup and a disc brake conversion kit for improved stopping power.
Don’t you miss the days when there was enough room to almost climb inside an engine compartment to work on it? The 302 almost looks dwarfed inside there, and the seller says that the V8 runs great. There’s an Edelbrock carburetor, air cleaner, and valve covers plus at some point headers were added. Shifting is provided by a C4 automatic, which is said to operate smoothly with no sticking. The seller frequently drives the short bed on hours-long commutes and claims that the pickup is very reliable.
Nothing is specifically mentioned about the interior but things inside look like they fit the bill for a no-frills work truck and overall seem to be in reasonable condition, with the most glaring issues being a crack in the dash and a tear in the seat. There’s some sort of an aftermarket radio in there, but no word on whether or not it or the gauges are functioning. Some good news is that this is a no-reserve auction, so the high bidder will be the truck’s new owner. What are your thoughts on this 1967 Ford F-100 Custom Cab?

’68’s did.
And the 302 wasn’t available in trucks until late 1969.

My dad and brother drive my grandpa’s 67 from California to Massachusetts back in 85-86 was so hot in death valley my brothers sneakers melted to the floors. The ac worked but when it’s 120 outside it only cooled to 85 ish in the cab. Oh yeah it was loaded with all my grandpa’s tools and stuff from when he worked at NASA as a self taught engineer.
My 67 had a 289 with three on the tree. Fun truck.
