With all the excitement generated by the story of the fellow who had over 30,000 diecast cars in his house, we decided to start offering a few miniatures of our own for sale here on Barn Finds. This 1:18 scale ’57 Chevy is a replica of Fireball Roberts’ NASCAR racer. If you don’t know who he was then you really need to read this article here on Hemmings. He was quite a driver and this is a fitting tribute to his legacy. Just take a look at all those details. This is a limited run of about 750 so you had better hurry before they’re all gone! They cost $119.95 each and you can order yours here!
I find this very appealing. Many young people think of tri 5’s as dragsters and street racers but they were quite successful in NASCAR as well. The 2 door post versions were the lightest available. I am not fond of the unbalanced look of a car with big meat slicks and skinny front tires (being primarily a sports car guy) but this looks great.
Who makes the car? What brand?
Acme Diecast
Jesse isn’t that the same company the coyote uses to try and kill the roadrunner? lol
Before the fuelie was banned.
Love to have one of those to far for me
I’m in S.Africa
Do any of you guys know why GM used the 6-bolt truck style hubs/wheels on their race cars ? I think they were on the Black Widow cars too. Were the truck drum brakes bigger then than the cars ? I’ve had both in the past but never thought to compare them.
