The 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 has long been considered one of the most desirable first-generation Mustangs, blending aggressive styling with serious performance. This example, listed here on eBay, is a genuine Mach 1 (63C code) that’s ready to be enjoyed today.

Under the hood sits a 351 cubic-inch V8 with a 4-barrel carburetor, paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. While this car originally left the factory as an automatic, the conversion to a manual gearbox adds a big dose of driver engagement and makes it even more appealing for weekend cruising. It’s equipped with power steering and power disc brakes, ensuring it has the stopping and steering performance to match its muscle.

According to the seller, this Mach 1 was originally finished in yellow but received a repaint in white more than 15 years ago. The paint still presents well, showing normal signs of age but maintaining an attractive overall look. The body is described as very solid, thanks to its California and Washington history, and the floors are said to be original and in solid condition.

Inside, the original interior remains in great shape. The gauges are working, as are the lights and interior lights, which adds to the car’s usability. This isn’t a concours-level restoration, but rather a well-preserved driver that offers all the right ingredients: iconic styling, a strong V8, and the fun of a manual gearbox.

The seller notes that the car starts up easily and drives very well. With just 22,834 miles showing, it’s likely that the odometer has rolled over, but the car’s condition suggests it has been well cared for over the years. With its combination of originality, tasteful updates, and overall solid presentation, this Mach 1 represents an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a classic Mustang they can actually drive and enjoy.

Offered with a clean Washington title, this 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is the kind of car that turns heads wherever it goes. Whether you keep it as-is, restore it back to its original yellow, or simply enjoy the way it sits today, it’s a solid piece of Mustang history.

Would you keep this Mach 1 in its long-time white paint, or return it to the factory yellow it wore when new?

Wouldn’t make any changes on what is my favorite Mustang. Good looking and fast. What more could you ask for?
No rear spoiler preferred here bobhess… love the 4sp addition. Great Mustangs.
Really really nice. I don’t normally go for white cars or trucks for that matter. But all the black accents on the Mach 1 hood and sides etc. Really dresses it up nicely. Ford definitely had a hit on their hands with these Mustangs for sure. 351 and a 4 speed is a great combo too.
Nice looking car, the 4spd is a definite plus. Last time through it was “sold” for a high bid of $43,000, but the sale was never completed.

Sellers feedback on EBay is horrible!
One negative review versus 88 positive is hardly horrible.

Good looking car my favorite one model! With the whole package on it! In the real world you can get closer to the real thing with these one ! No brainer 👍👍👍
The engine looks like a Windsor small block, if it was the Cleveland “Cobra Jet” engine I’d be interested in this one! BIG DIFFERENCE in the power! I had a 72 Gran Torino with a Q code 351 4V Cobra Jet engine with a C-6 automatic that I had the pleasure of embarrassing a few Big Block Chevy’s with way back in the day.
Cleveland engines were not available in 1969.
Actually, in 69′ and 70′ the Windsor was a little bad a$$ with big valves and high compression heads, in 71′ Ford started detuning the Windsor to the point it developed a reputation for being a dog. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy and drive this car if I wasn’t married !
cool. shame color was changed. oh well
I can’t tell which 351W engine this one came with. 2bbl or 4bbl. 4bbl had different compression, etc. (flat top vs dished pistons). Also this came with a 3.25 “open” differential. The yellow was the muted meadowlark yellow, so I can see the desire to change to white as the original looks like “dirty white” to a lot of people.
The seller has provided both the VIN and the Marti report. Both show that this car has an M in the engine code spot in the VIN which means that this car left the factory with a 351 4V engine.
I would need convincing the engine is still in place. I thought the 351w 4 barrel had quad bolts at the front of the intake.
I wouldn’t change a thing I would enjoy it just as it is.
Ended at $30,100.
