Well, you may be able to afford this one, but what would you do with it? The seller states that when their father restored his E-Type, he replaced the body and kept this old shell in the shed. The seller thought about hanging it on the wall, but decided they would rather have the ash in their pocket. I supposed it could be a good excuse to build something like this franken-jag… It’s located in Belgium and is listed here on eBay where bidding is currently at £5,100 with a few days left.

Finally, An E-Type You Can Afford!

Make it part of a pole sign for a Brit-car salvage yard?
Well, if it had its doors it would make a great little, intimate corner bar down by the creek to have cocktails in while watching the beautiful setting sun.
I can just see it with its firewall dug into the side of the creek wall, with our butts in some old Recaros and my feet up on the rear window frame sipping a Margarita.
La Dolce Vita!
Affordable? At £5100 that’d be a nice holiday somewhere instead of a rusty hulk of unusable Jag.
Greetings All,
Last I knew, you could buy a NEW shell WITH doors for about the same or less, depending on the exchange rate, and it’s NEW!!!
Forget the Jag. I want the Taunus 26M sitting next to it! Ford Capri in an older, cool body!
Actually the tube look like it is in good shape. The auction also showed a couple of door. So it might be worth it to buy it and replace a crapped out 2+2 or FHC body shell. But you would want to see it in person to be sure.
blows my mind what people will buy/pay. I remember the rust bucket on F&L several years ago they got $4k for. Makes me think my 69 burned out shell/roller is a gold mine! (yeah I know its an S2 but still….)
