The fourth-gen Camaro has officially entered collectible territory, especially when it’s a limited-edition model with low miles like this 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 30th Anniversary Edition. With just 69,000 original miles, this one-owner-style survivor is listed here on craigslist out of New Jersey for $14,500. Thanks goes to Mitchell G. for the tip!
Finished in classic 30th Anniversary white with orange stripes—a nod to the 1969 Indy Pace Car—this Z28 is powered by the venerable LT1 V8 paired with an automatic transmission. The seller notes it’s completely stock except for a Flowmaster muffler, and describes the car as “super clean in and out.” With a clean title and a new fuel pump and brakes, it’s ready to enjoy.
The car presents as a well-cared-for, unmodified example—something that’s getting harder to find among fourth-gen F-bodies. These cars were often driven hard and modified even harder, so seeing one like this still sporting its factory stance and graphics is a refreshing throwback.
Inside, the Anniversary Edition models received special badging and trim, though this listing doesn’t go into detail about interior condition or options. That said, the exterior photos suggest it’s been stored and maintained with care, and the seller emphasizes that it’s neither a garage queen nor a project—it’s a nice driver that won’t break the bank or your heart.
The fourth-gen market is heating up as ’90s nostalgia continues to grow. These cars offer solid performance, decent handling, and a classic V8 rumble, especially with the mild Flowmaster upgrade. And while the LS1-powered cars tend to get the spotlight, clean LT1 cars like this one are quickly becoming appreciated for their analog feel and old-school charm.
The seller notes that it’s eligible for QQ plates and “almost 30 years old,” which means it’s quickly moving from used car status to collectible. If you’ve been hunting for a clean fourth-gen you can drive without guilt, this might be your moment.
Would you daily this anniversary Camaro—or stash it away as a future collectible?

Does this car have the Opti-Spark ignition? I am assuming it does. Has anyone reading this replaced an Opti-Spark of an F-body? Thanks.
Yes, it does have the Opti-Spark and its a nightmare. I bought the SS/SLP version of this car in 2014 and the dealer I took it to had issues working on it. I sold the car in 2017 after the 3rd time I took it in after they had replaced the Opti and the water pump since you have to remove the water pump to get to the Opti. I told the buyer if it gave him issues to take it right to the dealer and tell them to not give it back until it was fixed as the parts and repairs came with a 6mo/6k warranty. He called me 3 days after he bought it and said the CE light came on and sure enough the code was related to the opti… I went with him to the dealer and they honored the warranty and FINALLY fixed it right. I see it from time to time and kinda regret selling it, the guy doesn’t even have a carport to put it under… ugh. It had less than 27k miles on it, sold it for $17500.
Did them like clockwork every 75K on my 1994 6speed that I bought new Dec 1993 and sold Oct 2019 with 249K.
Well my Mechanics did, look at the job on YouTube, beyond my Oil Change/Brakes skill level
Almost as hard? The Sparkplugs, that one I did do
Anybody ever done a fuel pump?? And I’m not talking cutting a hole in the cargo area…
The dealer did one, the correct way
