With the second-generation Dodge Charger remaining one of the more sought-after offerings from the golden age of muscle cars, many crafty enthusiasts often seek an affordable base example they can turn into the high-performance machine of their dreams. While this 1969 model here on eBay seems like a good candidate for an R/T clone or a Restomod, it also came with an uncommon factory color combination, and restoring it to the exact original specs isn’t a bad idea for this one either. Whichever path you’re envisioning, this vintage B-Body is in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the current high bid still at a reasonable $8,800.

Thinking back to when this Charger was brand new, it must have been a beautiful car, as this one came with a white body, a black vinyl top, and a red interior. The seller mentions that this is an unusual trio of colors, and I don’t recall seeing very many with this combination before, so in a way I’d kind of like to see this one stay true to its roots. Unfortunately, rust has affected some of the sheet metal, so several body repairs will be required before this one’s ready to repaint. Ultimately, it’ll be up to the buyer to decide whether to stick with the white and put the black material back on the roof, or choose something with a more exciting presentation, and perhaps even tack on some R/T badging.

The future owner will face the same predicament under the hood, as this one’s powered by a 318, the smallest V8 you could get in a Charger from this era. While the seller reports that the small block is running, he doesn’t mention whether this is the original engine or if the transmission is still the factory automatic. I’d be tempted to leave these intact if they’re the born-with components, as numbers-matching Mopars are also intriguing and frequently being thinned out of the herd. However, it’s hard to blame someone for preferring big-block power, regardless of the mechanical origins here.

Although much of the interior is still red, the seats have been recovered, and they’ll probably need to be redone again, hopefully next time with the proper fabric. A few of the pieces in here may clean up well enough to salvage, but some are cracked, and many show some type of wear. With the number of parts that will need replacing in here, keeping the inside its original color may not be essential, unless you’re a stickler for purity. This 1969 Dodge Charger seems to have several possibilities, and none are necessarily right or wrong, as it ultimately boils down to personal preference. How do you see moving forward here?

Needs a lot of metal work, but if the price stays on earth seems worth it.
The front end was smashed in, fixed on video – this is a youtube channel car
JMHO, I’d be looking elsewhere. That one looks like it got sideswiped by a telephone pole. Hard pass. GLWTS.
Sure wasn’t a lifelong Nevada car
Does this belong to Birdsong? He lives in Vegas. He’s a big Mopar fan and a YouTuber you may have heard of.
Yep, he’s got videos of him rescuing this from the junk yard and getting the front clip (relatively) straight. $8K for a running driving ’69 Charger is the cheapest I’ve seen for awhile.
Wheres all the negative comments calling it junk, scrap, worth a dollar, etc., ..
Ya, but its a mopar oooo, ahhh ,, whatever
A white, bare bones, rotted and smashed mopar
Yet worth the asking ??
🤷
This is a no reserve auction that had an opening bid of $250. There is no asking price, what you are watching is a declaration by bidders as to what they are willing to pay in order to drag this hulk home.

better have a big bank account you’re going to need it. at least 50k
Love the rare color combination. Had to laugh looking at those seats. They look like they were done by an ex La-z-boy employee. Wish the words clone and resto-mod would die a quick death. Gonna need a lot of rust repair, parts replacement and a sizable cash infusion to bring this one back if anyone was to tackle it.
No mention of General Lee? ;)
Yes we’re looking at a lot metal work here, don’t want to say l can’t do the metal work myself but without a part’s car it seems like a lot to take on,l have done body work before but not as much at one time for this amount of money so l will have to pass,on this one.
This is a car from Chris Byrdsong. He knows plenty about 68 to 70 Chargers I have seen many of these in far worse condition sell for more. If you have money and more importantly the SKILL and TIME like Chris does, then go for it. I’m 70 now and my old car days are over.
Lots of rust to be a Las Vegas car and not a A/C car. First complete Mopar I have seen in a while for under 10 grand. The rust holes on the roof are scary.
Lovely looking car. This would make an awesome resto project. Either a General Lee from *”the Dukes of Hazzard”,* or something else.
Sold on 4/25/2026 for a high bid of $15,100, there were 24 bids with 10 bidders.
