Here is a project for the Porsche fans. It is a 1969 Porsche 911 T and it has been in storage since 1994. It has its flaws, but it could make a good restoration candidate if the reserve is not set too high. It is located in Williston, North Dakota and is for sale here on eBay with the bidding at $5,555 and six days remaining.
The seller previously claimed that the paint was original, but has since corrected his assumption and mentioned that it could have been silver. The orange on red color scheme did not seem right, but silver on red makes a whole lot more sense and would be much more visually appealing. There is going to be some rust hiding under that respray so you had better take a magnet along when inspecting this one.
The interior of this car looks like it is in great condition from the photos. The red leather looks good and will look even better when the exterior is returned to its original color. There are no photos of the engine or the undercarriage so you will either want to inspect this one in person or request some very detailed photos.
We love the before and after find shots of this 911. It sure looks better cleaned up! The T was the low model in the 911 lineup, but they are still desirable today with their dual Webers in place of the fuel injection used on the E and S. This is also the first year that Porsche extended the wheel base a little to help correct some handling issues. We just hope for a fair reserve price.
Looks pretty good. Reserve is now off with a current bid of $8,000. If the car checks out, this could be a pretty good deal.
I am intrested, I buy it if its not sold yet, please contact me, Magnus
