Purchased by the second owner around 1982, this Ford Bronco has accrued very few miles in the last 38 years according to the seller. Showing 102,609 miles, this Bronco is a solid survivor that has spent the majority of its life in Arkansas. Although in running condition, this truck needs work to be suited for road use. With a lot of interest, this Bronco has been bid up to $35,800. Check it out here on eBay out of White Hall, Arkansas.
Appearing bone stock, the 302 was recently fired off with some fresh fuel in the carb. The seller reported that the engine “ran well with no smoking”. So at the least, you are looking at cleaning the fuel system, and investigating the brake system which the seller says needs attention. A good cleaning would help quite a bit under the hood, as the engine compartment and the exterior of the truck are quite dusty.
Moving to the interior, we can see that this Ford is like a time capsule inside. The loop pile carpet looks fantastic, as do the seats and dash. Looking closer, there are some minor discolorations, like on the door pulls, and the upper edge of the door card where your arm would rub. Also, It looks like the steering wheel has been wrapped, so that may be hiding a crack, or I suspect it was just the fad of the 1980s and steering wheel wraps. The driver seat has a minor split on the bolster. A CB radio is installed, and I believe there is a trailer brake unit installed under the dash.
A solid cleaning would likely leave this Bronco looking like a million bucks. Reported, and believed to be original paint, this truck is really in nice shape. The white decals have some splitting, but there are no missing pieces, and no apparent lifting. I cannot see any real damage other than a minor dent below the gas door along the body line where the paint is chipped. With a few weekends of sweat equity, and some parts you would likely be left with a great driving survivor. What do you think this Bronco will sell for?
That’s not carpeting but a rubber floormat that is in very good condition! They are close to being reproduced but not quite yet. It alone could be worth quite a mint these days. This is a Special Decor model and I’m not surprised at the bidding thus far. Looks like an honest period survivor.
Lovely looking Bronco. I find this way more attractive than the 1978-80 Bronco. For a vehicle in this nice condition, I’d pay close to the asking price.
36 large? geez I still cant see the attraction. I worked on plenty of these when they were popular and thought they were a POS then. Take a corner too fast and yer on your roof. Methinks there’s something going in the left quarter. No underbelly pics. Would have helped if he washed it. But then The imperfections would show better. I suspect shills for the high bid. I cant remember what I had for dinner last night, but I do not remember that being a stock ford color. good luck and be safe. There is way too much money out there.
Cheers

For 38K it would be nice to see it washed with a coat of wax on it!! Maybe I’m asking to much for 38K!! Nice survivor though!!!
For that price and being garage kept the seller never kept the engine bay that clean. No Thanks and yes for 36K I am picky !!!
Great find. A good cleaning and you have a real nice bronco. Would like to know what it towed around. No big deal. Might make 45k
And I used to scrap these things for a couple hundred dollars when I tried to start a “recycling” business….
Looks like a nice survivor — better be at $37,600. Seller may have realized an even better price if he invested a little quality time with a hose, wash mitt and bucket! I’ve always believed in trying my best to present whatever it is I’m selling in the best possible light. A good wash and clean-up of the engine bay, some good underside pics and if I’m feeling really generous, a wax job.
Hard to believe the price these are commanding nowadays. They were a decent utility trucklet in their day, but I never would have believed they’d become a hot collectible! I look back at all the vehicles we used (up) and abused in the 70s and the prices now … if only we’d have known.
$37,6 w/31 bids (not sure how many by the same guys)
