Hard Work Done: 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle

One of the most daunting aspects of any restoration project is figuring out how much rust the vehicle has and how much sheet metal replacement will be required. Even if a project is driver quality, it’s not uncommon for rust to be lurking in various parts of the car. For those looking for a little less rust and a little less sheet metal work, this project might be for you. Found here on eBay and located in Urbana, Ohio, this 1967 Chevelle has a lot of hard work already done.

The seller states that this classic muscle car has had a complete floor pan and trunk pan replacement. Both sections are one-piece replacements, which is nice not to have several different sections welded in. This type of sheet metal work is no easy task and so having that already taken care of is a huge benefit to the project. It’s always hard to tell how good the replacement work is just from pictures, but it’s at least encouraging enough to draw in some interested parties. Even though a lot of the hard work is done, there is still plenty of work ahead.

It’s pretty obvious that the interior will need a complete redo. Thankfully, with the project being a Chevelle, replacement parts are plentiful and easy to access. Building the interior on a brand new floor pan should bring peace of mind to the new owner. Once the interior is up to snuff, it would be easy to imagine sitting in there behind one of the best parts of this project – a big block and a four-speed.

The seller doesn’t give a lot of detail on this 454 but does state that it is mildly built. Even a mild build would provide a lot of fun on the strip or the street. The seller makes no bones about the work that is left on this one. The brakes, fuel lines, and wiring are just a few of the listed items that will still need attention. It is worth noting here that the seller has his eyes on another project. Could they let this one go for cheap with just the right offer? The $8,700 Buy It Now price doesn’t seem too crazy for what this car is and what’s already been done. If you were to make an offer on this one, what would it be?

Good looking street machine in progress. 454 should provide plenty of fun in the burn out contests.

Not a bad deal or overpriced project ! Depending on where the new owner lives the mild engine will be good for long distances without any problems. The color is great ,put a few bucks in it and enjoy it as lifes too short to leave it sit !
