It may be hard to tell from the mediocre photos, but I believe that this Mopar project has some potential. This 1974 Plymouth Duster is fitted with a 318 V8, 4-speed manual, and has the Twister appearance package. The Twister option made the car look more like its 340-equipped big brother by adding a black hood, stripes, and a new grill. This car also came in a nice color combo (Rally Red/white interior). The engine does not currently run and the whole car will need a lot of attention before it will see the road again. I’d like to think that the car could be put together without major body work, but I’m guessing it will need some rust repair and a respray. The resulting baby muscle car could be very impressive though. It’s located in Blanchard, Oklahoma and is at auction here on eBay where bidding starts at $3,500.

Lots of Potential: 1974 Duster Twister

I’ve owned a dozen dusters, and IMO unless it’s a 340 car, or has a factory sunroof they’re all the same. 318’s are as common as a slant 6.
Maybe I’m crazy but I wouldn’t spend $3,500 (+++) on this even if I were drunk and stupid.
Right there with ya Jason……..
