A close look at this 1968 Dodge Charger from the outside reveals a nearly flawless paint job on a very straight body, and one might assume that this beautiful Mopar has already gotten everything it needs to be considered a total restoration. Fortunately, that’s mostly correct, but there’s still some interior work left to be completed. If you’re in the market for a second-generation example that’s not too far from the finishing line, this 1968 Dodge Charger here on eBay might suit your needs nicely. It’s located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, with plenty of interest shown already, as 22 bids have taken the current high offer up to $30,000.

This one’s said to be just off the rotisserie, with the above photo showing how the car appeared during this important restoration step. We don’t get to view any pictures of what the Charger looked like before the project began, nor is any information provided regarding what type of bodywork may have taken place, but the seller does confirm that all the body numbers match. Whatever actions were taken seem to be of high quality, and it’s a plus to find that the suspension has also been redone.

Green is stated to be the original color, and this B-Body looks great wearing that shade. During the reassembly process, a new vinyl top was added, with the entire exterior seeming to reflect some expert workmanship. I’ve always been a fan of dog dish hubcaps, especially on Chrysler products, and the red-line tires add another layer of coolness to the visual appeal of this Charger.

More good news is that this one’s equipped with a 440, not the original engine, but a correct date-code block. It’s been gone through and rebuilt just this year, with a peek at the paperwork showing that the work was recently completed and paid for in late July. The mechanical positives continue, as there’s also a manual transmission, plus the brakes have been redone. A video provided by the seller shows the big block starting up and running, and it also provides a better view of the interior than either of the listing’s posted photos.

From a distance, the inside appears to be in decent condition, but when viewed closer, it will need additional attention to be equal to the rest of the car. The seats are stated as already completed, but some refreshing of most other components and a new headliner will be required. From what I can tell, much of the heavy lifting has already been done here, and I feel fairly confident that this 1968 Dodge Charger is well on its way to becoming exemplary. What do you think?

Hopefully someone finishes off this Mopar w care. 👍 🏁🤝
Beautiful job on the body and paint and vinyl top. This really deserves a top notch interior restoration for sure.
I like it and it appears that there is no reserve, or the reserve has been already met. The seller has positive feedback and has also provided his phone number should seriously interested buyers would like to speak to him. It will be interesting to see just how much this 1968 Charger sells for. But the way, the floor pans look new to me.
Looks great. But it’s like a marathon runner stopping at 25 miles. So close to getting over the finish line.
Curious that someone would go to the trouble of sourcing a correct, date-coded 440 block when the 440 was only available on the Charger R/T.
This is one clean restored mopar here only needing a little more work.
Finish her off with a nice set of wheels. Your preference. Keystone Klassics for me.
Originally a base Charger with a 318ci. Did a great looking job on the resto up until the interior. 68′ is my favorite year for these. Over $37k now. I had a beautiful factory 69′ Charger R/T with a 440ci.Sold it for peanuts back in the 90’s.
Beautiful 68 Charger and the 440 must sound great ,but how come it was not painted the factory light green color instead of whatever this is! In sixteen hours, somebody’s going home. With a nice charger! Good luck to the new owner! 🐻🇺🇸
Sold on 8/31/2025 for a high bid of $55,600,
