Update 1/28/13 – Looks like this cache of Mustangs is still on the market, but the seller has increased the starting bid to $49k!

From 8/29/11 – We just found this field full of Mustangs in Minnesota and there are not just a few, there are 49 cars! We are not sure what we would do with them all, but the collection is impressive. The whole lot is listed on eBay with a starting bid of $18,900 and no reserve.

More Mustangs

Either someone really liked Mustangs or this was a junk yard. Many of the cars have been picked over, but the seller claims that some of them have titles and could be restored. If you could figure out a way to transport and store all these cars you could probably make some money parting them out. We would at least keep a fastback or two for ourselves.

Mustang In A Barn

The package deal also includes all the parts in the building. There are sure to be a few treasures in there considering how many cars are in the field. The seller has including a list of all the cars on the eBay ad. Can anyone spot any keepers in the photos?

I’m pretty sure that red ’70 is a Mach 1. The rest look like your run of the mill stuff…

the red 1970 mustang is a fast back not a mach 1

If the VIN is accurate (see line 42 above), the red ’70 is indeed a fastback. What makes you think it wasn’t?

        William , the red Mustang is a MACH1 0F05M105238 The 05 in serial number is MACH1 , the M is 351 4V Clev & F means it was built in Dearborn .

There looks to be a 68 California Special in the second picture from the bottom. The front car is a 67 six cylinder but the blue one with the white top appears to be a GT/CS from the script on the quarter panel.

2nd pic next to the 71-3 mustang is a 67-8 cougar (red) I see alot of potential in these cars, except the 1st to the last picture in the 1st row that red mustang is a pile of metal rubble. For the price its well worth these gems..

Three remaining fastbacks? Picked over isn’t the phrase I would use for this lot, plundered is more like it.

do you actually mean “Mother Lode” :-)

high bid was 22K so he ups his opening bid to 49K?
this is perverse logic I cannot quite grasp, but I DO see a lot of it on eBay & Craig’s.
    another undermotivated seller…..

Notice the contact info at the bottom of the listing? That’s a phone number from SLOVENIA, not Minnesota, and the e-mail domain can be from anywhere.

IMHO Someone co-opted an old listing and is using it to scam.

Agree with Scott. The ad is fishy. The phone number, and the feedback on the seller. If it was real, I think somebody might be able to make money at 20k, but not 50k, even if they were close. Moving 49 cars, would be a lot of work, time and money

Theres no way 49 car are going to sell as on unit. Best would be to have a year long sale. This guy is some kind of mustang hog . Bet he does not even have any that are all done up nice. Lot of good stuff going to waste.

The 5th picture down looks like a keeper, it would restore up nicely, It has to be said to whomever amassed this collection that they have made a good job of it so weather your alive or dead well done, very well done you have created a heaven on Earth for me, If I had the money to stump up for these I would indeed do it, to think $49.000 1 “Concourse” car is worth “$30,000 (or £) so its a bargain really as you will have spare parts for the rest of your life, you’d just need to find a place big enough to put them (weather its in part or built car form they are going to take up lots of space, in fact it probably would be best to take the lot as it is put the spares inside the cars and then break down the cars slowly putting them inside other cars until there is no more room, that could work. But I would happily buy this then restore them for the rest of my life, Ahhh Mustangs. The first project would be a beast of a roadracer direct port Nos, all the best parts, in short a real Vin Diesel sort of car. trust me you cant go wrong on this purchace.
