Rolls-Royce is a company that exudes affluence. The luxury elements in their cars always go the extra mile. The Corniche III came equipped with all the amenities you’d expect in a luxury car with some next-level extras. This example has 121k miles. It’s for auction on eBay with no reserve. Bidding ends Monday, November 16th.
The car is finished in Porcelain White with Almondine pinstriping. The Almondine continues to the wheel trim caps. All of the exterior is said to be original. The convertible Everflex white top operates well. The outside appears to be in great condition. New Michelin tires have been installed. The styling is a unique ’90s look with a nod to much older luxury vehicles.
The interior is finished with white Connolly leather hides accented by Almondine piping. It is in good condition with some mild creasing in line with its mileage. The air conditioning is said to operate well. A pop-up screen radio is present and new window motor couplings have been installed.
A 6.75 Liter V8 engine sends power to the rear wheels via a 3-speed GM400 automatic transmission. The cars were equipped with an advanced suspension system for the time which makes for a more smooth drive. The car is said to start and drive well. While newer Rolls-Royces have expanded their luxurious attributes and horsepower significantly, this example offers the opportunity to own one of the most extravagant vehicles of the ’90s. The seller noted that the “triple white” configuration is a highly desirable option. A white interior is hard to maintain, an entirely white car is even harder. The car is said to have thousands of dollars spent on maintenance annually. While to some, that may be intimidating from an ownership perspective, it also means the car has been looked after. If you are looking to add a Rolls-Royce to your car inventory without spending hundreds of thousands, bid on eBay before the auction ends Monday.
Perfect car to wheel up to the casino front doors 🎰 in Monaco 🇲🇨 👌 ⛱️
When I saw that pic of the interior, I thought it had a necker knob on the steering wheel. It is just the seat belt button in the background. I was ready for battle over that on this car. It looks like a beautiful rig.
I appreciate the seller’s honesty in the description:
“Thousands spent annually in maintenance.”
Hopefully the potential buyers are reading that as well. . .you certainly will be spending thousands annually to keep this monster on the road for a few hundred miles of fun.
Still tempting though. . . !!!!
All it needs is whitewalls to complete the look. I know, they did not come that way, but, for the price, if I could have afforded it, I could have afforded a tire switch.
As I posted on the armored ROLLS-ROYCE limo, These are magnificent vehicles. The Creme de la Creme of Elegant Luxury. My late brother had several, including a Corniche and a 62 Silver Cloud. When the Cloud needed work (in the early 80s) he spent over $25,000, including some new hides sent from the factory. It’s true that maintaining a ROLLS-ROYCE may cost more than buying. Both have unfortunately well beyond my means. Still I’m happy with my LAND YACHTS! 🎵 Santa, Baby 🎶 park this one 🎵under my Christmas 🎄! MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL from The GREAT AMERICAN LAND YACHT SOCIETY! Angel 😇, where are you? Hoping Santa fills YOUR stocking with Some BIG BUCKS 😉.
Rick,
I fill my own stockings (or pantyhose) myself.
Just a little.
Ya know, for someone who loves land yachts & luxury vehicles i never really cared much for Rolls Royce and not because I could never afford or maintain one, they are nice cars and prestigious but they never floated my boat. Don’t care for Mercedes much either.
I do like Bentleys though.
This Rolls reminds me of “Down & out in Beverly Hills” where Richard Dreyfus & Little Richard both drive white on white on white Rolls Corniches.
Angel,
I have to take a few points away from you regarding not liking Mercedes. I have defected from modern day American cars and invested in German ones. I’ll redeem you a point back on Bentleys. Even though both will take you from point A to B German cars say you have arrived while American cars say you are here.
It’s supposed to say Just a little joke
ANGEL 😇! You Devalicios Cadillac QUEEN 👸! Hope your moving issue is working out. Seems we’ve both been DOWN and OUT sometimes though NOT in Beverly Hills. But I did visit Beverly Hills (and all of LA) chauffeured by a friend in his 70 gold WILDCAT convert. Even went to Studio One! No surprise? 😉. When I was talking about BIG BUCKS in your stocking, it wasn’t just about $$ IF you’re still looking! O 🤣 Anyway 🎵 Have yourself 🎶a Merry little Christmas! 🎵 Next year out troubles 🎶 will be out of sight! 🎵 Or NOT! 😉 😲! Our troubles could be BIGGER and not better! As always LOL to you and ALL Barn Finders. 🎅 🎄 🧑🎄
Pennsylvania Inspection expired in August of this year. Trouble brewing?
The description says that bidding ends November 16 but now it is December 14. Am I too late?
This writer has done that several times, the auction end time is always in November.
Maybe a copy/paste issue, or a calendar that needs to be updated.
Hi Frog,
I understand your point and reasoning, and it has nothing to do with German as American or any thing like that. Most has to do with styling; but as for Mercedes, 1) the old 60s, 70s & 80s Mercedes are OK. They are classy, stylish and well built. 2) only in America is Mercedes a prestigious automobile. In Europe, they are akin to a Chevrolet. Nothing special. 3) They are everywhere now. And not only is the market saturated with them but they now have small cheap SUVS and people are driving them around acting like they somebody cause they drive a Mercedes, which BTW looks more like a Suburu than a Mercedes.
As I moved cars around at Hertz, I really hated the new Mercedes. Something about the interior that was cheap and reminded me of a 1987 Cadillac Allante, nothing but hundreds of plastic buttons.

Angel,
No debate or argument here. Generally speaking you get what you pay for. Some low end model cars do use inferior quality parts and materials. I tend to reach for the higher hanging fruit. I made a challenge with one of the locals who claimed beer is beer. I said nothing so. You can’t consume the same amount of German beer as you can American beer. Unless you are a professional drinker.
But back to cars. European made metals are better quality. The build fit and finish is better. I’m not saying anything isn’t prone to failure or breaking. If you look at what Bentleys are composed of i don’t think you will finding plastic (taillight lenses maybe)? In those cars. And they don’t manufacture or sell economy entry level or base model cars. This keeps the buyers geared to the higher fruit on the tree. When a qualified buyer goes to purchase a super car like Ferrari and some others for example it’s more involved than just laying down the money. You have to sign a contract and agreement with Ferrari before you can buy one.
I know you have an appreciation for nice cars along with exquisite taste for accessorizing but wouldn’t it bother you to pull up to your same exact car that someone has distastefully trashed out?
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. 😆
I know what you’re saying and really I don’t have anything against European automobiles (they aren’t cars). Rolls is a great car, as is Bentley, Porche, even Volkswagen (well, it used to be) and I agree the metal is better and the fit & finish is better. For what you’re paying it better be. This is what I don’t understand about American cars. $160,000 for a Cadillac Escalade-V, but the quality is no longer there.
Which is why I like OLD American cars.
Hey it took me 50 years to warm up to Korean/Japanese cars. LOL
Speaking of Korean cars, I love my Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.
Maybe you or someone on here can help me with something. It’s a 2008 V6 3.6 or something. It has 156,500 miles. Runs great. But when I bought it used in 2017 I could get about 400 miles per tankful. Now I’m getting half that. Just 200 per tank. Do I need a tune up? New spark plugs? Or something?
Help!
Angel
Hyundai??? Really??? OMG!!!! You went from sugar to s__t! OK I’ll be nice or at least try. The only thing worse IMO than a Kia or Hyundai was a Yugo. I can’t be much help for you sorry.
I understand, Frog. I was a little shocked myself. I was trying to buy a Jeep but couldn’t qualify for the loan but did qualify for the Hyundai. And surprisingly, it’s a good SUV. It’s the limited, the big one before the Palisades showed up, and was the managers demo so it has every conceivable option for the time. The a/c still works and is cold.
As you said, it gets me from point A to point B in relative comfort.
My Cadillacs and Rivieras were when I was working, married, 2 incomes, a house and life was good. Then I was diagnosed with Cardiomyopothy with CHF, got divorced, couldn’t work and here I am on Barn Finds reliving my past and living in Hyundaiville.
Don’t cry for me, Argentina. 😥
Angel
I shouldn’t criticize. I’ve been down on my luck several times and managed to rise back up. Been down so low had to resort to eating Ramen noodles and taking 1 a day vitamins. During one of my down cycles I had a 6 year old Eldorado convertible and it was eat and walk or drive and starve. I must say I was in great shape.
Always managed to keep a roof over my head. Then during another low cycle I had to forfeit a 79 Lincoln Town Car to pay for school and buy a hideous Plymouth Volare station wagon. It belonged to a house painter. I’m sure you can get the visual. Pride can sometimes be a humiliating thing. But that doesn’t mean it has to keep you down. You don’t lose everything until you lose hope. A person that has never fallen will never know how to get up.
Your nose must be pointed straight up at all times.
Same old luxo barges that they’ve always been. Used to be the standard barrier for luxury now only the extremely wealthy bother to even give them a second look.
Ended with 0 bids.
Ha ha!
This listing was ended by the seller on Sun, Dec 15 at 5:08 AM because the item is no longer available.
It would be fun to take it through the Drive-Thru at Jack in the Box.
