Estate sales are always a good place to look for projects. There is usually less competition come bidding time because fewer people know about it, but you also have to know what you are looking for. Barn Finds reader Bob P just sent in a link to a big sale coming up on September 6th in North Canton, Ohio. The ’57 Chevy looks interesting, but there are many other classic cars and old motorcycles on offer that might be more desirable. It looks like everything has been parked for years, but I’m sure there will be a few bargains to be had. Take look here on Kiko Auctions. Thanks for the tip Bob!
The inventory list includes many vehicles that are not visible in the photos including a 1966 Chevy Fleetline, 1960 Nash Metropolitan, 1964 Cadillac, 1948 Pontiac, 1954 Nash, 1969 Pontiac Firebird, and a Cadillac Hearse M&M. There is also mention of a few engines – flathead V8, Model A, Model T, and 429 Caddy. It would have been nice to see more photos of all the cars, but I’m sure there are a few worth picking up. There are also seven motorcycles that have been parked for 20-30 years including a 1937 Indian, 1975 Harley, 1965 BMW R50, 1974 BMW R90/6, 1975 BMW R74/6, 1973 Honda 350, and a 1977 Honda Goldwing. Not a bad little collection! So, see anything you want?
the BMW motorcycles are interesting, along with the h-d and indian. site has been viewed 3773 times already. great find
I’m diggin’ on the BMW bikes
I saw mention of BEER SIGNS !!!!
As usual, the auction format will work to the seller’s advantage. With this much publicity, there won’t likely be any bargains. Figurines maybe.
Looks like a bunch of junk to me.
Worth attending if only for the entertainment value….lots of cool stuff which may bring big $ if only for the exposure and the allure of the barn find status.
It’s a bitch getting old. Then you die…….And you can’t take your stuff with ya !
Damn
Anyone with any information on what some of the motor vehicles sold for?
