This 1989 Dodge Ramcharger is a one-family owned example, and supposedly being offered for the first time since it was driven off the dealer lot as a new truck. The Ram is pleasingly spartan in its appearance, with classic steel wheels mounted on tires that are well-suited to the truck. The Ramcharger is a breath of fresh air in a 4×4 market seemingly dominated by restomods, and it’s listed here on eBay with bids to $14,1oo and no reserve.
The red-on-red scheme is right out of the 1980s playbook in terms of what buyers apparently wanted at the time, as there’s no shortage of domestic cars and trucks with this exact combo. Fortunately, despite it now being an acquired taste, the interior appears to be in excellent condition, reflecting its low 51K one-owner miles. The Ramcharger also sports bucket seats and the seller confirms the dash has no cracks.
There’s a near-identical one of these Ramchargers – same color, same poverty-spec – sitting in the private salvage yard in Georgia I work with, but it’s in far worse condition. It’s too bad, because when you see the same vehicle but in excellent condition, it drives home just how much potential is lost when a classic vehicle perishes due to neglect. There’s nary a spot of rust on this rig, and the black molding and chrome bumpers are also in very nice condition.
A reliable 5.2L 318 V8 is under the hood, and with such low miles, this truck should soldier on for years to come. The seller claims the Ramcharger drives like new, and that the four wheel drive, power steering, and automatic transmission all work as intended, and that even the cool roof vent that came standard is still operational. Overall, this Ramcharger appears to fit the definition of a survivor, especially given how long it’s been under the stewardship of one family.
She’s a beaut if it was available where I live in British Columbia Canada I’d snap it up!!!
Spokane is not far
Can this truck get to Canada somehow?
With proper information + documents.
Sure could. Come drive it home
It’s over 15 years so it’s easy. You need a broker on the US side to do the paper work add a tax number to it, it gets sent to US border your crossing at 72 hrs before you cross. You stop there, they check the vin, stamp the paper work, off to Canada customs. You will pay the GST ALand $100 excise tax for the AC. and head home. Done it a bunch of times. Nice wagon, if that was in Maine I’d be all over it. Wrong coast.

Back when I was in college, I wanted one of these, but I wanted a ’70’s-era one, where the whole roof was removable. All I can say is: Good luck finding one! After 6+ months worth of looking for one, I threw in the towel & bought a CJ-7. No shortage of those, at least back then (late ’80’s).
This truck looks awesome but that engine and the components underneath the hood looks like rust and probably this truck has been in a flood of water at some point and time.looking at the interior it should look a little newer than it should.buyer b ware!
Bull.
Looks like a Spokane truck to me. Just saying. Pics are hard to tell.
I had an 84 Ramcharger that I bought from the original owner
For $500. It had 95,000 miles
On it. It had a 318 no FI and only a 2 wheel drive with no posi. It was listed as a utility vehicle. I put air shocks in the back and coil overs in the front with BF Goodwich AT TAs all around 31 x10. It helped somewhat in the snow purchased in 2004 sold in 2006. Rear end going sold for $1300. ,[ miss the style. Wife bought me a 99 Denal which I still have
