While I confess to a strong leaning towards Ford products, I am, primarily, a classic car enthusiast. Therefore, I won’t ignore any vehicle because it wears what might be considered the “wrong” badge. I do have a soft spot for Pontiac, a marque that produced some of America’s most iconic vehicles. Therefore, I am irresistibly drawn to this 1967 Le Mans. It presents beautifully, featuring a 326ci V8 under the hood. Its interior is as spotless as its exterior, seemingly making this Pontiac a “total” package for those seeking a classic to park in their garage. I must say a big thank you to Barn Finder Curvette for spotting the Le Mans listed here on eBay in Clearwater, Florida. The seller set their BIN at $34,900 with the option to make an offer.

Pontiac marketed its Second Generation Le Mans range from 1964 until 1967, with this classic rolling off the line during the final production year. The seller’s repeated use of the word “correct” in their description suggests that this Pontiac may have undergone a faithful restoration. Certainly, the Regimental Red paint and White vinyl top appear to be in exceptional condition, with no signs of deterioration or other issues. The panels are as straight as an arrow, and the detailed underside shows no evidence of rust. The glass is clear, and the trim is as impressive as the paint. This Le Mans rolls on a set of clean Rally II wheels, wrapped in new tires from the fine folks at BF Goodrich.

The positive vibes continue inside this Pontiac, which is trimmed in Black vinyl. It features bucket seats, an AM radio, and ice-cold air conditioning that was recently upgraded to R134a refrigerant. A close inspection may reveal minor cosmetic flaws, but the overall presentation is consistent with a high-end driver. There are no signs of wear or abuse, and no aftermarket additions. This is another aspect of the Pontiac that may have received recent TLC, because it is almost beyond criticism.

The word “correct” appears again as the seller describes this Pontiac’s mechanical specifications. The “YO” engine block code is consistent with a 1967-vintage 326ci V8, producing 250hp and 333 ft/lbs of torque. The first owner paired the V8 with a two-speed automatic transmission and power steering. While the Le Mans doesn’t have muscle-car leanings, its performance should be comfortably acceptable for enthusiasts seeking a relaxed driving experience. The seller provides no information about this car’s mechanical condition, but the spotless engine bay and lack of visible fluid leaks are positive signs, suggesting this Le Mans is a turnkey proposition.

The idea of tackling a project build isn’t viable for some enthusiasts. That is where classics like this 1967 Pontiac Le Mans ride to the rescue. It appears to have no obvious needs and is a turnkey car that the buyer can enjoy immediately. It may not have the presence or performance credentials of a GTO, but those characteristics aren’t high on everybody’s priorities list. It is clean, tidy, and there is room inside to accommodate the entire family. That is why it deserves a close look.
