Located in Sherwood, Oregon, this 1966 Ford F-100 Pickup is listed for auction here on eBay. Currently, the bids have reached $4,150 with a little over 2 days remaining in the auction. The reserve has not been met. The truck is reported to still be wearing its original blue paint with the odometer reading 92,111 miles. The truck has some surface rust but the usual places where rust eats through the metal. The truck looks like it has its original hub caps.

The interior is said to be original too with the exception of an aftermarket tachometer mounted to the steering column. However, the seat upholstery just looks too nice for me to believe that it is 55 years old. The original owner ordered the truck as a custom cab so it is equipped with higher-end finishes. The truck has manual windows, seat belts, and a radio. The floorboards are covered in a black floor mat and there is a small crack in the dash vinyl upholstery. The seller states that the truck runs well and can be taken anywhere.

Ford built many of these trucks with V8 engines. This one has the 352 cubic inch V8 Ford FE engine that is backed by a three-speed manual transmission. The seller has recently installed new tires, plugs wires, and valve cover gaskets. He states that a new PCV valve was also installed. The cooling system has new hoses, coolant, and a heater control valve. the brakes have new rear wheel cylinders and the brake fluid has been replaced. The fuel system has also received attention including a rebuilt carburetor, fuel pump and the rubber fuel lines have been replaced. The exhaust manifold downpipe flange gasket was also replaced on both sides.

Overall, the F-100 looks solid and the chrome rear bumper looks practically new. The front windshield is noted as foggy and needs to be replaced. The Chevy and GMC 1/2 ton pickups get a lot of attention But a clean Ford truck would be a nice farm truck or weekend ride.

2nd year for the Twin I-Beam suspension. And this truck has an accessory compartment usually only found on camper specials.

These were the true original “Built Ford Tough” trucks. BTW I’ve seen those hubcaps on 1964 full size Ford cars as well.
