Many of us know the story of wanting to restore a vehicle and then life gets in the way, this is the case for of this F100. Listed here on craigslist in Jackson, Michigan, this 1962 Ford F100 is being offered for $1,500. We thought you would enjoy seeing these images of the pile of a truck in the barn.
According to the owner the cab is solid. Of course, it is hard to tell if these claims are true from these images.
The bed needs a new floor and fenders. It appears there is plenty of junk piled in it to keep it from going anywhere.
This is the only image of the right side. It doesn’t reveal much, but is it just us or is there something wrong with that fender?
The owner says he has all the parts to the truck, although no inventory is provided.
The owner purchased this truck a few years ago with the idea of restoring it and now he wants it out of his barn. The motor does not run, no mention if it’s free, and the seat needs to be redone. Will this F100 be saved or end up in the local junkyard? Only time will tell.
Motor-on,
Robert
If it was assembled, then I can see 1500.00. Sitting in pieces with terrible photos, maybe more like 500.00 – 750.00?
barn mess
Actually, it looks pretty solid. That front clip is just hung on there, so it looks distorted. Sure is fun taking something apart, putting it back together, clearly is another matter entirely. After sorting it out, it really could be a good deal.
He may get his money if it is a solid bed/cab truck, that is probably the only way this truck is worth $1500.00. The rt fender does look to be dinged up pretty badly.
Well I see why the owner wants out.
Seems like lots of people are good at disassembly, but with this one I’d want out too.
Don’t know about the rest of the truck but the grille is from ’64, not a ’62.
He wants someone to pay him $1500 to clean
his garage?
Yup ! and cash only, no Nigerian cashier’s checks , please !
A class mate had one of these step side ford when I was in high school with an inline 6. He would butt it up against the wall of the shop classes and do a slow speed burn out with the valves floating from the revs. until the truck would disappear in the smoke. Just the kind of thing you’d expect from us juvenile young lads. That was back in 1977.
Did I go to school with you? Life was good back then.
Fun times.
