Package of Projects: Nova Wagon, Shelby Charger and More!

This seller up near Bangor, Maine is offering a package deal that may be tantalizing enough to warrant the long drive from almost anywhere to go check them out. It’s clear he has a variety of projects, but to make the haul to Corinna, Maine, it’s best to be sure you see something you want. Among the vehicles up for grabs include a Chevy Nova wagon (plus two parts cars), Pontiac LeMans/GTO, a real-deal Dodge Shelby Charger, a “parts Mustang”, and an old truck cab of unknown origin – all for $5,000. Find it here on craigslist and let us know which project you’d make the trip for.

For me, the Shelby Charger is the most desirable project here, both for its completeness and rarity compared to the other cars. The LeMans is not a genuine GTO, remember, as the seller is just likely name-dropping the classic muscle car for its resemblance to the LeMans. The Nova wagon may get some of you more excited if it’s as rare as the seller claims it is, and I can certainly agree that a clean Nova long-roof lowered on some period wheels with a more powerful mill under the hood than it left the factory with would get my attention. Of course, this being Maine, you have to wonder how rough these cars are underneath – Bangor’s climate can be a tad unforgiving.

I’m sure one of you knows the make and model of this truck cab just by looking at it with no other distinguishing features, so leave your guesses below. These are surprisingly desirable for people who want to build a project from the ground up, especially if the cab in question is a particularly hard-to-find model, or has some original details that make it stand out from other trucks of the same era. You can just spot the Mustang in the top photo, which is a hardtop coupe of unknown production year. For $5,000, it’s a pretty sweet group buy, but I suspect most buyers would rather take individual projects home than the whole fleet. Which would you choose?

At least the seller is honest. Take them all for $5000 instead of teasing then informing potential buyers that is for each hulk. No mention on Craiglist of what appears to be a 62 Pontiac and a Cutlass/Chevelle sitting nearby.

I agree it’s possible not a bad price, but owner should have had probably 20 pictures or more.

This is more for a local or close buyer to inspect them.

To me its more like a local writer Steven King book “Misery” with distance and shipping cost and unknown potential scary circumstances 🤷🏻‍♂️😉

It certainly would be nice to see more than four pictures on the eBay ad before making a bid!! Talk about lazy seller!!

Based on the shape of the cab belt molding, hood opening/firewall, and the divided front windshield I’m thinking the truck was a 1937-1939 Ford, Chevy or Dodge. Its hilarious that the seller says the Mustang is a parts car given the condition of the showstopper Novas x 3!!

The Mustang appears to be of 67-68 vintage

With the prices of GTO’s these days, I’m surprised he’s not asking 5K just for that…with someone with a semi, flatbed, fork lift, shop, mad skills, and the time, it would be worth the trip…but alas, I have almost none of these….

Older New England vehicles are generally rust buckets, I bought a few way back when. Got pretty good with a pop rivet gun if I say so myself.

Another lazy CL seller. Guess he is in no hurry to sell the collection. Too bad for the price, as long as your local, not a bad deal.

Not fair to call th seller “lazy”. Maybe not a car guy. Maybe an estate sale. Maybe new property owner. My friend crushed probably $50K worth of old cars on property he bought for a new commercial project. The cars were slowing him down at $7,000 a day, so he had them hauled out and crushed. People have different motivations.

Payed someone to haul away $50,000 worth of cars to the scrapyard? Why on earth would one pay someone to rid of diamonds in the rough? Surely someone could have advertised them while the permits for storm water, utilities and general excavation were being pulled….They could have quite possibly made the 7 grand a day by selling them off instead of putting even more cash out to clean up. Something doesn’t sound quite right
Hopefully the new strip mall doesn’t have a name like Rusty Relics Town Center at Salvage Yard Pointe😁

Some people are not car people . I have friends that laugh at me and say why do you have those old cars in your garage and the new ones sitting outside . They just don’t think the way a gear head would
