Please Get This Pony Running!

1965 Ford Mustang Project

Listed here on craigslist in Phoenix, Arizona is this 1965 Mustang project priced at $4,500. Said to have under 40K miles, this Pony was taken off the road over 30 years ago and was sitting in a barn when discovered. The owner says that the car is rust free and comes with lots of “cool” parts.

There isn’t much information given with the ad.  We believe that the car is now sitting in the seller’s garage.

This image is with the ad and we assume is included with the car. Obviously, there isn’t an engine in the car presently.

It’s an automatic car with under the dash A/C.

Both door cards look good.

The owner may take trades but they must have A/C. It does get hot in Phoenix as many of you know. This craigslist ad has been posted for over 2 months, so is there someone out there to get this project rolling again?

Cheers,
Robert

According to the VIN on the title doc shown, it’s an A-code. That means it was a 289-4v with 225 bhp originally. I’d like to see the door tag to know more.

40,000 miles and it is in this condition? Seats were redone in naugahyde and still worn out? Not likely honest mileage. Not that it matters much, since it needs everything. Could be a worthy project if rust free.

Definitely not original seats.. Look more like GM buckets.. Yep.. I’d take it on if the rust was better known. These cars are bringing high money once restored. Go figure.. ??
