I wonder if these cars will peak now or go higher. I know my basic 1972 350/4sp was a thrill. Bought it for $1000 with smashed left front quarter. Sold it for $1700 some 5 years later.

I like it very much…. I would be very interested if this would of had a four speed trannie…

This is a clean sweet ride and even though a high price…. its one he ll of a better deal than the rusted out Porsches listed lately..

I had the El Camino version of this car in 2005 (low miles, Irmine White/Saddle interior, 350 HP motor w/ the Turbo 400 option). Complete frame off # matching restoration. Spent 30k on the resto, ended up selling it for 23k after having fun with it for a year. The guy who bought it made a pro touring out of it and then wrecked it…to each his own.

Well now, what a nice ride this is, huh. Maybe not one of the more desirable higher out put 396’s, but still a great car. Remember the M/B inspired L78 Chevelle a few days ago, that seller wanted 70 K and it wasn’t nearly as nice or complete as this one here. Like the color of this one, especially with those black wheels.
Interior looks great, although I do prefer black on these screamer cars, just my own taste… I’m guessing that whoever bought this new wasn’t looking to do any real street racing, which is probably why it’s still around in such good shape. Very nicely taken care of.😋

The 70s 454th going thru the roof. This better body style is the next gold mine. Snatch them while you can.

Well done. A real time capsule. A base 396, bench seat, column automatic, gold(?) interior, etc.. Kudos to all who have kept its originality. Let’s hope any buyer feels the same way.

I don’t care for the wheels or tailpipes but, I could live with everything else. Nice car overall.

Someone has put wheel well chrome on it which hurts the originality; unless they have a build sheet which shows it came like this. You can easily fix the pipes and wheels but a lot of cash to remove and fix wheel well chrome holes if you like original.
