Listed here on craigslist in Buffalo, New York is this Bradley GT II sitting on a 1972 Beetle pan. The seller has it listed at $4,250, which seems like a great deal for a completed car.
Unfortunately there are not images of the front or the rear of the car other then the engine to share with you.
The engine is said to be a 1700cc and it runs good, but as the seller states, would benefit from a tune-up. Recent maintenance include these items either new or rebuilt: carburetor, starter, battery, brakes (front rotors, rear drums), and brake lines.
The upholstery and tires have also received some recent attention.
Here is the odometer showing 56,837. We don’t know the ownership history, the year of the build or how many miles were on the Beetle when the kit was added. It would be nice to see the undercarriage and where or if there is any rust. (Also, does anyone know which model these VDO gauges are?)
This owner has owned it for over 7 years. There are extra parts including glass that is for sale separately, but the owner is willing to combine with this sale. A Bradley GT II instruction build manual is included in the sale. The owner asks that tire kickers or photographers not to stop by. If you have an offer for this GT II, they will hear them.
Cheers,
Robert
That is a pretty good deal! If I was in the market for one, I would going to look at this one. The engine and pedal assembly could use some detailing but other than that, nice overall. The interior is nicer than what I usually see in these, plus the tan (instead of the usual black) probably helps with the interior heat.
I thought these were so cool back when I was in the 6th grade.
Cockpit Series VDO… very common for the ’70’s kits..
Once again, CL is like a contest for bad photographers. The air scoops on each side look pretty crude. Nice interior for one of these. Love the wheels.
