Listed here on craigslist and located in Toronto, Canada, we have this Austin Healey BN6 for your enjoyment. The asking price is 15,900 pounds sterling. The total production number of this 2-seater was 4,150. The owner claims that there were only 178 RHD produced and approximately 60 are left. Which makes sense because these were made to be exported and mostly to the USA.
This car was imported from the UK to Canada in 1985 by the previous owner.
The original ’58 UK plate, the original title, and full documentation since new are included in the package. It doesn’t get any better then that. The interior shows the 50+ years of wear, but again this too maybe original. The car comes with the side curtains, the soft hood (with a hole in it), spare tire, and tools (no image of the roll). The car does not run but the owner states “Engine turn”. So we can assume the engine spins freely and is not locked up.
The underside appears as a ’58 un-restored Austin Healey should with no major “tin worm” damage visible from the supplied images. The owner will help arrange shipping from his garage so you can contact him for more details. He asks for you to supply your phone number and the best time to call. If the engine turns this is a worthwhile project if you want an original Healey with all the documentation from day one.
Cheers,
Robert
Wonder what the deal is on the price in pounds sterling? I live in Toronto and I know that we use the Canadian dollar. Based on the value of our currency vs the US, he’d have been better off quoting it in Canadian, to attract those stateside buyers.

Barry,
The reason, I believe is, that the ad was posted in Liverpool and the seller is trying to get someone to bring the Healey home hence the currency quoted as is.
Cheers,
Robert
