Dodge had its Ram Charger and Chevrolet had the Blazer bud Ford out produced them all with its full size Bronco from 1965-1996. The four wheel drive survivor is located in Fort Harrison, Montana. The Bronco is being auctioned here on eBay with two days remaining. Bids have reached $12,100 on this no reserve auction.
The Bronco was originally fitted with the reliable 351 cubic inch V8 engine and 2 barrel carburetor. The engine was replaced around 100,000 miles with a Ford 400 cubit inch V8 engine. The Bronco has only had two owners over its 159,000 mile life. The original walnut brown paint still looks acceptable and the truck was used for hunting and fishing. Surprisingly the truck is equipped with air conditioning. The documentations indicates a rear gear ratio of 3.50.
The interior of Broncos is spartan but this one looks very nice for its age and mileage. Power is transmitted to the rear end via a column shifted automatic transmission. The seller discloses that the seats are torn under the JC Whitney sourced seat covers and the truck retains its factory floor mats. The power rear window raises up and down but the heat and air conditioning, while intact, are not working.
There are many good pictures on the eBay ad and the body looks good except for some chips and a dent in the driver quarter panel. There is also a dent in the oil pan and the glass is good except for a chip in one of the side windows. The seller states that a Bronco in #3 condition is worth $24,900. What do you think?
Am I the only one who read the title in John Denver’s singing voice? Fr tho this truck is beautiful
The seller must be buying up every old truck in Montana
to resale.

The 400M some had are the largest production ‘square motor’ produced in usa (not sure bout some of the european exotics).
angliaGT glad to see the local Montana guys getting a couple before all the rust belt carpetbaggers pick it clean. I ran into a group of guys from Minnesota with a 10-car hauler hitting all the small towns on the MT Hi-line and grabbing every dry truck they could. And these guys from Michigan are looking to take 10 out of WA. https://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/d/spokane-looking-to-buy-old-trucks/7186739446.html
Even Dennis Collins of Gas Monkey fame is up here picking Montana Quonset huts….
The body looks clean and pretty rust free!! That’s the main thing!! Mechanicals seem to last pretty long on the second generation broncos!! They were built for so tough!!!
