It is always a good idea to buy the most rust free, original car you can find. This early 1955 MGA is about as they come. It has been in storage for 25 years so it doesn’t run, but it is all there. Find it here on eBay with bidding at $8,100 with no reserve.

This little sports car started life in Roswell, New Mexico and lived there though the 80s. This car obviously benefited from the dry climate. The car changed hands and moved to Oklahoma before going into storage during military duties. Eventually it made its way to Florida and into the hands of the seller. The odometer shows 32k miles which cannot be verified, but it does seem realistic.

Luckily the second owner put oil in the cylinders and drained all the fluids before putting the car away. The seller has not started the engine, but it does turn over so there is still hope to get it running again. It looks so clean under there that we have no doubt that someone will get this running again without too much trouble.

The interior is a little rough and is missing a few pieces, but the seller does mention that the sale includes new carpet and upholstery. They even have brand new side screens that were purchased back in the 80s. The wood in the floors has been replaced so all that is left to do is to install the interior.

The seller was not exaggerating about this being a rust free car and unless this is a re-spray, this could be one of the most solid MGAs around. Sure there are a few dings and chips, but everything looks so good that we would just get it running, install that interior, and enjoy..
